He was belov­ ed grandfather of Nancy Merritt of Clearbrook, B.C., Bradley Grewar of Toronto and Pamela Grewer of Mississauga. He was predeceased by one sister, Mrs. Vern Schinbein. The funeral service was held Sept. 20, 1989 from the Betts Funeral Home, Brussels with Rev. C. McAvoy officiating. Interment was in Brussels Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Har­ vey Shaw, Murray Lowe, Frank Thompson, Robert Galbraith, Bob Sproule and John Galbraith. Obituaries ARCHER MARK GREWER Archer Mark Grewer of Callan­ der Nursing Home, Brussels died September 17, 1989 at Wingham and District Hospital. He was 80 years of age. He was born in Brussels 80 years ago and was a storekeeper for nearly 60 years in Brussels running Grewer’s Grocery Store. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. The committee will consist of the Warden, the reeve of Goderich, a councillor from the north of the county and a councillor from the south. In addition the county administrator, the Director of Plan­ ning and Development and the Clerk-treasurer of the town of Goderich or a non-elected person nominated by the town would sit as resource people. Some councillors at the Sept. 7 meeting of county council question­ ed the need for a special commit­ tee. Bill Hanly, clerk-administrator for the county pointed out that since the idea of first moving the county headquarters to Huronview had first been discussed, the Town of Goderich had asked that consid­ eration be given to some factors before any move be proposed. It was felt that a special committee would be the way to handle it. Asked why the county’s agricul­ ture and property committee, which administers most of the county buildings, couldn’t have done this, Mr. Hanly explained that the committee doesn’t admini­ ster Huronview. Besides, he said, membership on that committee changes each year. This committee won’t likely report in 1989, maybe even not in 1990.
