The Blyth pair were among six local graduates of the adult education program at Central Huron Secondary School in Clinton. Adult students get diplomas in ceremony Six local women were among 22 adult education graduates honour­ ed at a ceremony in Goderich Thursday night. The students all took part in the special upgrading program operat­ ed at the Central Huron Secondary School in Clinton. Among the local graduates were: Juanita Arkell, Belgrave; Loma Fraser, Blyth; Sandra Mayberry, Londesboro; Brenda Scott, RR 1, Auburn; Sheron Stadelmann, Blyth and Lorna Vincent, RR 1, Auburn. 4 local students named Ontario scholars Four students from the Blyth, Londesboro and Auburn areas are among the 10 Ontario Scholars at Central Huron Secondary School this year. The students, who will receive scholarships of $100 obtained an average of 80 per cent or better in six Ontario Academic Credits, the credits required for university ad­ mittance. Jeromy Ten Hagg, RR 1, Auburn was tops among the four local students. Others receiving the scholarships are Christina Roul­ ston, RR 3, Blyth; Elaine Poore, JUST GOT EVEN BETTER Blyth and Deanna Lyon, Londes­ boro. Area students also placed high on the honours lists for other grades at the school. In grade 11, of the 27 students on the honours list, 11 were from the Blyth, Londes­ boro and Auburn area. Jennifer Roulston, RR 3, Blyth was second in the class, followed by Theresa Knox, RR 1, Blyth. Leona Cunningham, RR 1, Auburn was sixth with Catherine McDonald and Jane Whitmore, both of Blyth, being ninth and 10th. Others on the New Bd. of Ed. trustee elected An election to decide a replace­ ment for a vacancy left after Sally Rath well’s resignation from the Huron County Board of Directors was held Monday, June 26. Alan Carter acquired the position of Trustee for the Village of Hensall and Township of Tuckersmith with 240 votes. Yvonne Reynolds was next with 158, while David Cooper had 157 and Frank Falconer had 74. Mrs. Rathwell resigned from the board on May 1 of this year in order to take a position as secretary at Vanastra Public School. honours list were: Karrie McClin- chey, Blyth; ShanaleeTen Hag, RR 1, Auburn; Kim Medd, Blyth; Christine Potter, Londesboro; San­ dra Hessels, Blyth; and Anita Gross, RR 1, Auburn. Kelly Cook of Blyth topped all students in the grade 10 honours list. Also from the area are Karen Bylsma, RR 1, Blyth and David Werkema, RR 1, Blyth. The Grade 9 honours list includes Melanie Knox, RR 1, Blyth; Julia DeJong, RR 1, Londes­ boro; Kara Lee Potter, Londesboro; and Tammi Medd, Blyth.
