At a special service at Knox
Church on Sunday morning, Rev.
Steven Webb officiated at an adult
baptism. Three teenagers Angie
Williams, Jennifer Vanass and
Jolanda Vanass joined the Church
and had their first communion.
Mr. and Mrs. Murray Crawford
spent Saturday visiting with their
daughter and son-in-law, Mary
Lynn and Charles Bray and family
at Belmore.
On a recent weekend Murray
Crawford helped to celebrate the
eighty-ninth birthday of his mother
Mary Crawford, at Spruce Lodge,
in Stratford.

were visited by daughter Laura and

Hill, all from Toronto. They visited

The Junior Choir sang two
anthems. The sermon topic was
“Hind feet in high places”.
A meeting was held after Church
to discuss building a ramp at the
Church. A vote on this will be held
on Sunday, July 9 at 10 a.m. Next
Sunday, June 25 is the Sunday
School Pancake Breakfast before
and after the Worship Service. The
next Communion is on July 16.

Sunday School for acting as Trea
surer for the past 25 years. Rev.
Snihur presented Laura Scott with
a gift. She has been Sunday School
Superintendent for the past two
years. Both ladies are to be
congratulated for a job well done.

During May, Ontario Hydro sup

watt-hours of electricity to Ontario
consumers, almost 5.5 per cent
more than in May, 1988.
The 18,050 megawatt peak for
the month was just one per cent
more than the highest demand
recorded in the same month of last
year.

Craig Gillis finds the dessert at the Walton United Church
Country Supper so good, he has to lick the spoon. People lined
up early to take in the event with more than 380 people being
served Sunday afternoon.
WI visits Niagara area
On Monday, June 12, several
members of Londesboro Women’s
Institute enjoyed a bus trip with the
Huron West District. They visited
the Adelaide Hoodless Home at St.
George, Erland Lee Home at
Stoney Creek, Mary Maxim outlet
at Paris and had supper at Angie’s
in St. Agatha. Members going
were Margaret Taylor, Annie Vin
cent, Elma Jewitt, Lois Elliott,
Josephine McGregor, Ann Kroe-
son, Dora Heard and Helen Law-
son.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Scott, Billy
Jim and Shannon and Jean Scott
were Sunday guests with Mr. and
Mrs. William Scholl of Monkton.
