Hall, Belgrave following a pot luck supper which started at 6:30 p.m. Winners for the euchre were: high lady, Mrs. Agnes Gaunt; low lady, Mrs. George Drehmann; lone Belgrave Mite boys win first game Belgrave Mites held their first baseball game of the season May 25 in Belgrave. They played a terrific game defeating Wingham 20 to 13. The evening began at 7 p.m. with a roast beef dinner served by the Rebekah Lodge 306, Clinton. President Ross Leaky expressed thanks to the dancers for their attendance and help throughout the year. Leader Lois and Ed Wise were presented with a gift to dine at “La Brassine” in appreciation of a season of great dancing. Calvin Brick marks anniversary Anniversary Service was held in Calvin-Brick United Church, East Wawanosh, Sunday morning, May 28 with an excellent attendance. Rev. John G. Roberts conducted the service and Miss Lavonne Ballagh of Wingham, the special speaker. Music was provided by the Children’s Choir singing two anthems, “I am a Promise” and “Free Song”. Mrs. Margaret Robinson of God­ erich spent a couple of days this past week with Mr. and Mrs. Garner Nicholson, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cook. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grasby spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. George Johnston, Tara and Erin of Ilderton. Wayne Cook of Victoria, B.C. visited with Mrs. Mary Chamney one day last week.
