HESTER LILLIAN BRADBURN A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother is remem­ bered fondly by members of the Bradburn family following the death on Sunday, May 7, 1989 of Mrs. Hester Lillian Bradburn of Wingham. Her passing occurred in Wingham and District Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was in her 94th year. The former Hester Johnson was a daughter of the late Henry Johnson and Margaret Golley and was born Sept. 13, 1895. She received her elementary education at S.S. No. 5, Morris and, following her marriage to Melville Bradburn, they farmed together on Conces­ sion six of East Wawanosh. She moved to Wingham following his death in 1965. Mrs. Bradburn was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Wing­ ham; the Ladies’ Guild of Trinity Church, Belgrave and the Anglican Church Women of St. Paul’s; the Women’s Institute; Mary Hastings Club and senior citizens, as long as her health permitted. She taught Sunday School for many years at Trinity Church and was always generous with her musical talents, playing piano for concerts and meetings. She always believed that age is a state of mind and was a very dear friend to her grandchild­ ren, as well as to her family. Mrs. Bradburn was the dear mother of Ruth and Wallace Bal- lagh of Teeswater; Audrey and Jack Adair of Molesworth; Shirley and Murray Keys and Murray and Joan Bradburn, all of London; grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and sister of Myrtle Johnson of Wing­ ham. She was predeceased by three sisters and one brother. Friends paid their respects at the McBurney Funeral Home, Wing­ ham, until Tuesday, May 9, at two o’clock when service was conduct­ ed by Rev. Douglas G. Madge. Her final resting place is Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave. Pallbearers were six grandsons, Kevin Brad­ burn and Todd Keys of London; Gerald Adair of Stratford; Byron Ballagh and Gary Ballagh of Tees­ water and Keith Adair, Stratford. Hultett Happenings SCHOOL EDITORS: Kerrie Szusz and Lisa Finch GRADE 8 TRIP by Cheri Kryzanowski On Wednesday, May 10, the grade 8 class left on a two-day trip to Toronto. On May 10, they went on a Harbour Tour, visited the Agricultural Museum, toured the Kitchener-Waterloo Record and ended the day at the Eaton Centre. The next day, after spending the night at the Niel-Wycik Hotel, they went up the CN Tower, visited Fort York, Casa Loma, and also went to the Parliament Buildings and Three grandsons, Kent Keys, Guy Keys and Jeffrey Bradburn, all of London, carried florial tributes. watched a meeting in progress. All in all, it was a fun trip. THE QUEBEC TRIP by Christy Scott On May 3, 4, 5, and 6, some french students from grades 7 and 8 went on a trip to Quebec. Among many other activities, they had a walking tour of Quebec, where they saw many tourist attractions such as the Chateau Frontenac. The next day there were paired up with francophone stu­ dents.
