They were selected from 83 entries and each won a ticket to the Green Thumb presentation last Saturday at the Festival. Blyth 4-H dub meets On Wednesday, March 1 Blyth I held their second meeting. Members opened the meeting with the 4H Pledge and read the minutes from the last meeting. Two new members joined: Maridale Bromley and Donna Giousher. The members decided on The Blyth Sheepshearers as their name. Members were given options for the achievement program. These were: A trip to Milton, a multi-club tour or to have skits and exhibits. They chose the trip to Milton. They closed the meeting with the 4H motto. The next meeting will be held on March 8 at 7 p.m. at the home of Sheron Stadelmann. 13 tables at weekly Blyth euchre Margaret Anderson and Cliff Hoegy had the high scores when the weekly Euchre party was held at Blyth Memorial Hall March 13. Jane McEwing and John McEw- ing had the low scores. Vietta Hoggarth and Allan Shaddick had the most lone hands. Mildred McNall won the special prize. There were 13 tables in play. On March 6, Kay Konarski and Blyth. People Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lawrence and family visited Friday night with Bert and Dorothy Daer and Satur­ day morning went to Brussels to the Brussels Optimist hockey tour­ nament where Marty’s team from Dresden were playing. Wilfred Shortreed had the high scores among the 12 tables of players. Elva Brown and Clara Rinn had the low scores. Alberta Stevens and Len Shobbrook had the most lone hands. The special prize was won by Don Buchanan. Ella Richmond, Lloyd Walden lead Lost Heir Ella Richmond and Lloyd Wal­ den had the high scores at the Lost Heir card party at Blyth Memorial Hall on March 15. There were five tables of players present. Margaret Nesbit and Jim Bent­ ley had the low scores. Charlie Smith won the special prize. There were six tables in action at the March 8 Lost Heir card party. Alma Madill and Edgar Howatt had the high scores while Feme Howatt and Harry Crich had the low scores. Non Burnable Items - such as glass, tin cans, household vegetable waste, plastics etc. 2. Burnable items-such as cardboard, paper, wood, leaves [this to be identified with red sticker) 3. Metal - no fence wire accepted. 4. Wood or Wood products. All garbage must be bagged or contained. No chemical or hazardous waste - No pesticide or herbicide containers will be accepted.
