Wallace eliminates Blyth Novices
The Blyth Novices gave it their
all, but came up short in their third
playoff series against a very strong
Wallace team.
Blyth made it to the semi-final by
defeating Teeswater and Clifford.
Blyth started the third series in
Wallace and lost a 3-0 game. The
Wallace goalie was the stopper in
this game keeping Blyth off the
scoreboard. Game two was held
back in Blyth Sunday, March 12.
Blyth came out flying determined
to turn this series around. Blyth
out-skated and out-shot this steady
Wallace team, but once again could
not get the puck behind the
Wallace goalie, Reed Norman.
Despite a great effort, once again
Blyth found themselves behind 3-0
late in the third. Blyth pulled their

Brussels Pre-Novices
defeat Belmore 6-1
Once again the Brussels Pre
Novices, 4 and 5 year olds, played
Belmore last Friday night. The
outcome was much the same as last
week.
The stronger Brussels team flew
out the starting gate with a
breakaway goal by Nolan Krotz at
the 18:50 mark. Belmore however
got that goal back to tie it 1-1. Chris
Coulter broke the tie with his first
goal of the game on a pass from

Brussels. Chris Coulter got his
second goal from Joel Kellington in
