Sealed, clearly marked tenders are now being received for the
following:
1] Supplying, crushing, hauling, and spreading of 10,000 cubic yards
more or less of 5/8” Granular “A” Gravel for the roads in the
south-west corner of the Township of Grey.
2] Crushing, hauling and spreading of 20,000 cubic yards more or less
of 5/8” Granular “A” Gravel forthe balance of the roads in the south
half of the Township of Grey.
Workto be completed by June 16,1989 to the satisfaction of the
Township Road Superintendent. The contractor to be responsible for
any rules or regulations which may be applicable under the Pits and
Quarries Act.
Apply to the undersigned for contract forms. Tenders must be
accompanied by a certified cheque for 10% of the enclosed bid and will
be received by the undersigned until 4:00 p.m., March 17,1989.

BAEKER, James M. “Mac”
(Employee of F.W. Fearmans for
23 years and a member of the Royal
Canadian Legion Branch 60, Bur
lington.) At the Joseph Brant
Memorial Hospital, Burlington,
Ontario, after a courageous battle
with cancer, on Thursday, March 2,
1989, James Macarter Baeker of
Burlington, in his 63rd year, belov
ed husband of Elizabeth (nee
Bettger) (Coleman) Baeker. Loving
father of Shari Baeker and Bonnie
(Mrs. Jim Bradley), both of Bur
lington; loving stepfather to Karen
(Mrs. David Hastings), Susan
(Mrs. Don McNeil), both of Brus
sels, and Bob Coleman and his wife
Barbara of Burlington. Loved
grandfather of ten grandchildren.
Dear brother of George Baeker and
his wife June of London and Mary
(Mrs. Bill Dunsford) of Simcoe.
Mac will be sadly missed by several
nieces, nephews and cousins. Pre
deceased by his sister Helen (Mrs.
Doug Warwick) of Owen Sound.
The family received friends at
Smith’s Funeral Home, where
funeral services was held on Satur
day, March 4, 1989. The Reverend
Allan M. Johnston officiating. In
terment Brussels Cemetery, Brus
sels, Ontario, to follow in the
spring. If desired, expressions of
sympathy to the Canadian Cancer
Society would be sincerely appre
