VanAmersfoort and Chris Carter
notched the Blyth goals.
Blyth was ready for their second
game, playing excellent defensive
hockey and timely scoring and
defeated Teeswater 5-0. Blyth

and Chris Carter each scored twice

added one.
This set up the “B” Champion
ship game between Ripley A and
Blyth. Ripley were just coming off
an exciting 8-7 win over Howick
and had two players with an
excellent scoring touch. Blyth
again concentrated on defence and
Toll was hot again in the Blyth net
stopping numerous chances, in
cluding several breakaways by the
Ripley team. The Blyth team used
four goals by Chris Carter and a
single by Jamie Black to skate to a
5-2 win. The whole team worked
hard and were rewarded with the
“B” Trophy and pennants.
