ADRIAN VOS BLYTH. information package regarding re vised regulations for these exercis es and for religious education as well. Although bound by legislation the board still has a number of options. Committee Graeme Craig, made it clear that the Lord’s Prayer has not been abolished from schools. The prayer may still be used, but one religion cannot be given primacy over another. The committee is preparing a document in which the available options are being outlined for the schools and expect to report on it at this month’s meeting. Recent changes to the regula tion, which recognize Canada’s multicultural and multifaith nature will affect the board’s decisions. With the amended regulation it will be required that all public elemen tary and secondary schools in the province open or close each day with the national anthem.
