The round-robin tournament, which runs from September to April, will wind up at a gala banquet in Brussels on May 6, when the Huron County champions will be named. Brussels People Compiled by Marilyn Higgins Call 887-9089 On Feb. 18, 1989 at the Wing­ ham Legion, Margaret Jarvis and Holly Dauphin were at a public speaking competition. Margaret placed first and Holly placed third in the Junior Secondary Division. Margaret spoke about Cystic Fibrosis from which her cousin Julia Herbert of London died of April 2, 1988 at the age of 13 years. Holly spoke about dieting. Margar­ et now advances on to Clinton to speak on March 4. Sympathy is extended to Bob Fraser and Michael, Mr. Jim Smith and family and to Frank, Lois and Paul Thompson on their recent losses of their loved ones. The Rebekah Dessert Euchre was enjoyed by all present and the happy prize winners were: highs, Jean Bewly, Jim Smith; low, Mary Clark, Ethel Brewer; lucky tally, Ann Smith; lone hands, June Jacklin; lucky chair, Mary Huether; lucky cup, Edna McLelland.
