Mrs, Harvey Wright. A solo was
rendered by Miss Francis Inglis,

number of guests were also present.
President Mrs, Leslie Harkness
presided over the business portion.
A thank you letter was read from
the Children's Aid Society in Walk-
erton for a donation received from
the W.M.S. This being the last
meeting of the W.M.S prior to the
new •orgahization getting under

with the carol, "Joy to the World"
Devotions were read by Mrs. Len
Harper and the Scripture was read
by Mrs. A. Darling, This was fols
lowed by the singing of "Silent
Night". '
President Mrs. Bert Wylie con-
ducted the business portion of the
meeting and the secretary-trea-
surer's report was given. It was
decided to send Christmas boxes
to the sick and shut-ins. This was
the last 'meeting of the W.A. prior
to the new organization of the Un-
ited Church Women.
McIntosh United W.A, way or-
ganized in 1932 with the first meet-
ing held at the home of Mrs. John
Harris. A coincidence was •that
the last meeting was also held in
the same home, now owned by Mr.
and MrS. Clark Renwick.
The meeting closed with a pray-
er by the Rev. H. Pace, followed
by work on a quilt. Lunch way
served by Mrs. H. Pace, Mrs. J.
Ferguson -and Mrs. A. Darling.

WROXETER - The Christmas
meeting of the W.IVI.S, was held
last Tuesday with Mrs. J. H. Wylie
and Mrs. G, Howes in charge Mrs
Gilbert Howes presided for the de-
votional portion of the meeting, fol-
lowing a prelude of Christmas mu-
sic.
The call to worsnip was given
and a hymn was sung. Mrs. Howes
gave the Scripture and commun..
tary. Mrs. Howard Wylie offered
prayer. A monologue was given by
Mrs. Howes, "Ye Are the Light of
the World", The singing of a hymn
was followed by a Christmas poem
by Mrs. Howard Wylie. Carols
were sung to conclude this portion
of the meeting.
The business consisted of min-
utes, correspondence, roll call, re-
ports of conveners, report on bale,
offering and dedication. The bene-
diction closed the meeting and a
hot turkey supper was served and
very much enjoyed.

for three schools on Monday even-
ing at Whitechurch. On Wednes-
day night S.S. 3, West Wawanosh
held their concert at St, Helens
hall. Large crowds attended both.
Mrs. George Kennedy teaches at
Fordyce and Mr, Ross Jdrrington at
S.S. 3.
Mr. Elwood Barbour is again
hospitalized, this time with pneus
monia. Mr. Barbour underwent
major surgery in London recently.
