away suddenly. Interment was at

Clouds of smoke, rising north of
the railroad tracks on Robert Solo-
man's farm, attracted a lot of at-
tention on Sunday aferrioon. A
spark from a fire burning old
refuse from the barn ignited the
grass and burned into some stumps.
No damage was done.

for a few Weeks with friends in
this district, returned home to
Simmie, Sask., last week.

erton Fair on Tuesday, where they
will hr. judged on Wednesday and
said on Thursday, Mr. Leroy Rin-
toul, who has spent some weeks at
the Loeada Farms, Peterborough,
was at the sale there on Monday
and then returned home.
Nimrods with their shooting
equipment were not too. plentiful at
the shoot, held at Marnoch on Sat-
urday by Frank Cooper, However,
quite a few were successful in win-
ning a turkey.
