Fires Waste. Premitims
Checking your home and barn
does not absolutely guarantee
freedom from fire. But it helps
. ..and there is' a greater peace
of mind for 'you-
Know something about the
causes -of fire in the home, or
ask the fire prevention inspec-
tor to help point them out to
you. •
YOUR HOME IS YOUR CASTLE! '
Your outbuildings — your living. This tradition is sacred to the
program of voluntary home inspection by the trained fire In-
spectors. ,That is why the inspection of any hOme is subject to
the friendly wish of the owner or, tenant.
If a fire fighter or inspector knocks on your door, let him in.
His only aim is to help you uncover potential fire hazards
about your buildings,
What the inspector 'has to say concerns the safety of your horn
perhaps your own life. There'S no expense to you anti it doesie
add to your taxes. He comes properly equipped and instruete
under a planned prevention program and at no additional cost.
HOME FIRES OFT TRAGIC
While public and commercial buildings' in Canada must submit
to a rigid fire inspection, the home and the owner's privacy
are respected. Nevertheless, it is in the home that three-quarters
of all fires occur.
Sept. 29 headlines—"FIRE KILLS EIGHT OF
NORFOLK FAMILY"—WHY? WHY? WHY?
Besides trash, inspectors are alert to improper storage of flam-
triable liquids (gasoline) and stove ashes, smoke pipes and ditun-
neys, and faulty or frayed Wiring and overfusing. Ihnet be
ashamed if they point out danger spots. No home premises are
perfectly'fret' from hazards.
The principle of proper inspection is generally gratefully ac-
cepted by the people whose company furnishes this added service
at no additional cost,
NO GOSSIP, NO "SELLING"
They will give yOu a private and persOnal written report on their
findings without gossip about the neighbours, And they will not
advise on repairmen or equipment suppliera.
It's a completely friendly call, and the rest is up to you. As the
fire services say, "The best fires We fight in tire home or on the
farm are those that never happen."

Your laying flock represents a substantial invest-
ment. Figure it out for yourself ... value of land,
cost of buildings, taxes, cost of chicks, cost of
feed to.point.of-lay and laying feeds, to say noth-
thing of labour. In return for these out of pocket
expenses you expect a mighty good yield — . cold
cash savings. That's when SHUR-GAIN delivers
