She was intro:. duced by Mrs. Glad Edgar. McGowan explained the arranging of foster homes for children whose homes were broken, of adoptions and visits made. The president, Mrs. Glenn Johns- ton, announced that the• course, "Foods Make a Difference", would be held in the Orange Hall on Thursday, Sept. 21st, commencing at 10 a.m. Mrs: Clarence Spading was named leader and Mrs. Johns- ton assistant for the girls' project, "Featuring Fruit". It was decided to give $8.00 to the Agricultural Society for prizes for junior club work. Mrs. John Baylor will look after the soldier at Westminster Hospital for this month. Roll call was answered by giving a health-building habit and each member presented a small gift for a baby. Miss Bonnie Inglis of Fordwich demonstrated care of hair. •Gifts were presented to the visiting ladies. Winners in the Dutch auction were Mrs. Norman Wade and Mrs. Gerald Galbraith.
