urday afternoon.
The church was decorated with
baskets of shasta daisies mixed
with pink carnations, against a
background of fern and candel-
abra. Rev. E. C. Attwell conduct-
ed the ceremony and Miss Elva
Foster of Fordwich presided at the
organ. Albert Posliff of Kitchener

on Saturday afternoon for the wed-
ding of Marilyn Ann Goll and John
Kenneth Higgins. Rev. Charles D.
Cox, of Teeswater,' officiated. "Be-
cause" and "Wedding Prayer" were
sung by Robert Cunningham and
Mrs. E. Martin was 'the organist.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Goll and the
groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs.
Alvie Higgins, all of Brussels.
The bride wore a formal gown of
Chantilly lace and nylon tulle,
styled with fitted bodice, sabrina
neckline encrusted with opalescent
sequins and pearls, and brief
sleeves with matching gloves. The
full, gathered bouffant skirt had
alternate panels of tulle and Chan-
tilly lace worn over layers of tulle
and satin. A crown of pearls held
her circular illusion veil, with face
veil. Mr. Goll gave his daughter
in marriage. Her bouquet was white
shasta daisies and pink Sweetheart
roses.

The bride and groom, both grad-
uates of Stratford Teachers' Col-
lege, left on a honeymoon to the
West Coast. The bride was attir-
ed in a light gold sheath with deep-
er gold accessories and a corsage
of green mums. They will live in
Burlington.
Family Reunion
At Stratford Park
The King-Brophy reunion was
held in Stratford Park on Satur-
day when about 150 members at-
tended from. Brighton to Detroit
and Cargill to Hamilton.
Rain interfered with the games
and sports program but group pic-
tures were taken to be used in the
next edition of The Family. Tree.
The next reunion will be held on
the American side in, 1963.
Edwin Brophy, of London, was
the master of ceremonies, and Miss
Anna Mcdonald, of Wingham, was
the general convener.
Hostess for Tea
Mrs. Harry Goll was hostess on
Wednesday afternoon and evening,
July 5th, at a trousseau. tea in
honor of her daughter, Marilyn,
whose marriage took place Satur-
day, July 15th.
Little Miss Lori McCutcheon at-
tended the door, Guests were re-
ceived by the hostess, bride-elect
and mother of the groom, Mrs.
Alvie Higgins.
Pink roses and pansies were ar-
ranged throughout the rooms. The
tea room was attractive in pink
and white with pink wedding bells.
The lace covered tea table was
centered with a three-tiered wed-
ding cake made by the bride's
grandmother and iced by her aunt,

Lamont of R.R. 1, Holyrood and
John Reid of London.
Following the ceremony a recep-
tion was held in the church parlors.
For their wedding trip to eastern
Ontario the bride Wore a navy blue
sheath dress and jacket with pink
and white accessories and a car-
sage of pink roses.
The couple will reside at R.R. 2,
Teeswater. The bride is a gradu-
ate of the Stratford Teachers' Col-
lege,

line skirts with a deep, gathered

worn Over tulle and taffeta. They
wore flower half hats with face
veils. Shasta daisies and yellow
baby niums made up their bouquets,
'Lori McCutchecrn, of Brussels,
was the fliower girl. Her nile green
nylon dress was worn over a taffeta
underskirt. She had a matching
flower headband and carried a
miniature bouquet.
Mel McArter was best man, and
David Hastings and Robert Hig-
gins, all of Balgrave,_ were the
ushers.
White lilies -decorated the church
parlors and guests were received
by the bride's mother, attired in a
Blue nylon sheer dress over printed
taffeta in sheath style, white ac-
cessories and corsage of white and
blue baby mums. The groom's
mother assisted. Her sheath gown
was of printed glazed cotton under•
nylon organza in catillian blue. She,
too, wore white accessories and cor-
sage ofl white and -blue mums.
For the wedding trip to Deser-
onto, Kingston, Ottawa and' North
Bay, the bride wore a dress of aqua
nylon sheer over printed taffeta

of the Bluevale Women's Institute
held in the community hall on the
evening of July 11th, gave an op-
portunity for the members an:d

Homemaking Clubs. Three groups
were necessary for the lame en10.-
ment, the lesders being Mrs. Alex
Corrigan, Mrs. W. J. Peacock and
Mrs. Jack Nicholson. The nrojects
undertaken were "Cottons May Be
Smart" and "The Club Girl Enter-
tains,"
Mrs. George Hetherington con-
ducted the meeting. The roll call
was "What I Should Like to Have
in My Guest Room,"
A leadership training - course
"Featuring Fruit" was planned and
also a bus trip to Toronto Exhibi-
tion in August;
The program was in charge of
the club girls. Gail Kirkton demon-
strated dress styles for different
figures, Mary 'Craig showed correct
table setting, Edith Shaw exhibited
a variety of sandwiches and Joan
McFarlane gave descriptions of
cotton materials, Nancy Taylor de-
scribed a four day conference for
club girls which she attended at
Macdonald Institute in Guelph,
A group of 22 girls modelled
pretty cotton dresses in various
styles and colors which they had
made during 'their sewing course.
Mrs. Alex Corrigan was commen-
tator.
Ann 21/feKercher p:ayed piano
solos and Margaret Craig played
the violin with Mary Craig accom-
panist. Carol Robertson favored
with a vocal solo, with Mrs. Donald
Robertson at the piano.
The girls served a delicious
lunch at the conclusion of the pro-
gram.

dresses and flowers as the maid of
honor. Junior bridesmaid was Linda
Jefferson, youngest sister of the
bride. She wore a. similar dress to
the other attendants and carried a
nosegay of yellow Minns,
David Durnford, of Willowdale,
brother-in-law of the groom, was
best man, and ushers were Robert
Jefferson, brother of the bride, and
Lawrence Smyth, of Stratford.
For the reception held in the
church parlour the bride's mother
wore a mauve printed silk under
mauve organza in a stroller length
coat and a white chrysanthemum
corsage. She was assisted by the
groom"s mother, wearing a, green
nrinted silk and a yellow chrysaa-
thaninm corsage.
The bride's table was centered
with a four-tiered wedding ckke,

With Pink and white streamers and
the tables were lovely with bourmeta
of sweet peas. The wedding dinner
was served by the ladies of the
church.
For a wedding trip to Eastern
Ontario the bride donned a green
dress With matching jacket and
beige accessories and a corsage of
bronze mums, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson
will reside on the graarn's farm on
cancessidri 6, West Wawanosh.
A special guest at the wedding
was the groom's grandmother, Mrs,
