Treating seed pays, Or does it?
A Wellington County farmer,
George Whitelaw, started on the
outside of a 20-acre field with un-
treated seed, last year. About half-

finished the field with the same
seed--but it had been treated OAC .

Was it worth it? For a cost of

return on a $1.00 investment.

Both mother and the family are

well worth the effort when such
tantalizing treats as Caramel Pecan
Buns appear on the table. And now
that Many homes have freezers, the
baking can be done in quantity and
stored for use as needed'.
These buns will probably become
the favorite snack item arhund
the house; but they can also be
served as a special treat for break-

possible, reheat them before eating.

is •local newspaper advertising
to local business firms?
Here's what the American Bankers' Magazine,
a publication that represents a traditionally
conservative profession, has to say:
"No business man or woman in any town
should allow a newspaper to go to press
without his or her name being mentioned
somewhere in its columns.
"Any stranger picking up a newspaper should
be able to tell what business is represented in
a town - it's the best possible town advertiser.
The man or .woman who does not advertise
does an injustice to himself or herself and
