Rev. H. T. Englert officiated with
Mr. and. Mrs. Myles St. Marie as
attendants, Twenty-five guests at-
tended the wedding dinner, after
which the happy couple left for a
honeymoon in Tampa, Florida.

Was 86 in February
GORRIE—We extend best wishes
to Thomas Louden Douglas, who
marked his 86th birthday on Feb-
ruary 22. '
Mr. Douglas farmed on con. 17,
Howick Township, coming there
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas Douglas, Sr., from near
London in the 1800's when' he was
only a child.
In 1945 Mr. and Mrs. Douglas
retired from the farm and came
to Gorrie. They are both active
and maintain their own home and
garden,
Falling Tree
Causes .Injury
GORRIE Murray Underwood,
25, employed 'by the Huron County
Road Dept., was hit by a large
limb which broke off the tree they
were cutting crown on the side of
the road. The accident happened
near Auburn.
Manfred Irwin and John Koch
rushed him to Wingham Hospital.
There he was attended by Dr. W. IA,
McKibbon. It required four stitch-
es to close the cut on the crown
of his head, His hack was also
severely injured.

Institute, attended the Ripley In-
stitute meeting on Friday last and
spoke on "Tact," stressing that tact
was needed to manage any group,
