have been a brush wolf was seen
last Thursday on the farms of Stan
Dennis and Elmer Greenly, on the
17th of Howick. The animal
crossed the road in front of the
-snowplough and was -also seen -by
the snavvplough operator, -Glen
Underwood of Gerrie.
A hunting posse comprised of
Don And Jerry Webber -and TA-
verne and Jim Greenly started- out
to follow the tracks but the bound,'
refused to follow the scent so t

Lieutenant B. Anderson -inspect-
ed the 24 Men on parade at the
Wingham Armouries on Monday
night, Mr. Anderson• dismissed the
men •to their various duties after
commenting on the excellent turn-
out.
In the first period the recruits

their M test by Captain Vegan.
This test is designed to place the

ners had gun drill in the gun shed
with. Sergeant Meurs in charge.
The secone period was spent on
instruction by Gunner J. Wild on
the FN rifle, the semi-automatic
weapon used by all NATO forces.
The third 'period gave the men
an opporttinity to see the National
Survival training they have been
practicing in action, An excellent
film was shown on the ;lye stages
of rescue, from the removal of sur-
face casualties to the systematic
search, which dramatically illus-
trated the proper method of rescue.
The dismissal parade was •taken
by Major R. P. Ritter, He reminded
the drivers of the impending trade
tests on March 5th. These tests, if
passed, Will qualify the drivers. All
