4-H Club held a meeting Wednes-
day evening at the home of Mrs,
Lloyd Jacques, the assistant club
leader.
The meeting opened with the
,4-H pledge, The roll call was
"A line in clothes that suits me."
The minutes of the last meeting
were given. Mrs. Arnold Gadke,
club leader, led in the discussion
and demonstration of pattern
cutting, alteration and tailor tacks.
The girls are finding this course,
"Cottons May Be Smart", very in-
teresting.
Sacred Heart
Euchre Winners
There were 14 tables in play at
the weekly euchre party held in
the Sacred Heart parish hall Tues-
day evening, convened by Mrs, Bill
Temp'email and committee.
Mrs. George Tervit and lack
Brophy were high prize winners
and the lucky draw went to Mrs.
Mireau.

The bride chose a beige sheath
with cummerbund and three-quar-
ter length sleeves, brown and beige
accessories and a corsage of red
roses for the wedding trip to
Southern Ontario, The couple will
live in London.
Guests attended from Oakville,
London, Toronto, Gorrie, Kitchener,
Bluevale, Belgrave, Walton, Wing-
ham, Belmore and Wroxeter,
LAKELET—Mr. and Mrs. Noah
Byler of Deleware, Penn., have
purchased the farm of Frank
Brown, which was the former
Lionel Mahood farm. Mr, and Mrs.
Harvey Yoden and family, who
have been residing with Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Byler, will move to
the Frank Brown farm,
Mr. and Mrs. Noah Byler are
returning to their home in Dele-
ware this week but will eventually
return to reside on the Brown
farm with Mr. and Mrs. Harvey
Yoden.
This is the nucleus of an Amish
settlement as more are expecting
to come from the Deleware corn-
Munity.

Thirteen members were present
for the meeting of the Belmore
Women's Institute on Wednesday
in the club rooms. The motto,
"Our yesterdays are the rocks On
which we build our tomorrows,"
was given by Mrs. R. T. Apple-
by. The topic, given by Mrs, Thos,
Abraham, was "How to build a
better community."
The Women's Institute catered
for the bonspiel on February 1st
and realized $92.00. At the business
meeting $50.00 of this was donated
to the arena board. They wish to
thank all the ladies of the neigh-
borhood who so efficently helped
with the serving of the meals and
who cheerfully donated supplies.
All are urged to attend the
March meeting at which an in-
, teresting demonstration will be
given by Mrs. William Elliott.

with pink and white streamers,
i wedding bells, ferns, lilies and
pink mums, for the wedding of
their daughter on Saturday after-
noon.

United Church, performed the
ceremony, uniting in marriage
Anna Mae Doubledee and Robert
John Moffat of London, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Moffat of
Wingham, Miss Anne Douglas,
Wroxeter, was organist and Mrs.
Marie Douglas, Belmore, sang "The
Lord's Prayer" and "Dawn of the
Morning".
Mr. Doubleder, gave his daugh-
ter in marriage. She wore a
street-length dress of white chiffon
over taffeta, with a lace trimmed
bodice which featured a sweet-
heart neckline and three-quarter
length sleeves. She were lily-
point gloves and a tiarra of pearls,
which held a finger-tip veil, The
bride carried a. white Bible crested
with red roses, from which fell
streamers and rose buds.
Miss Doris Doubledee of Oakville
was maid of honor and Miss Marie
Johnston, Bluovale was bridesmaid,
They wore identical gowns of pale
pink chiffon over taffeta, match-
ing shoes, and carried white Bibles
with pink rosebuds knotted in the
trailing streamers.
Keith Finnigan of London was
the best man, and Keith Woods of
Wingham was usher.
The dinner and reception were
held in the Delmore Club Room.

game in the Belmore Arena on

Fordwich Pee-Woes met the Bel-
more Pee-Wees in the Belmore
Arena on Friday evening. Score
was 3-0 in favor of Fordwich,
Fordwich Bantams played the
Belmore Bantams in the Belmore
Arena on Friday evening. Score
was 15-5 in favor of Fordwich, '

This eliminates these two Bel-
more teams, Pee-Wees and Ban-
tams, from the play-offs.
