Resident Passes
GORRIE—The death occurred in
the Avoncrest Hospital, Stratford,
on Wednesday, December 28, of
Hamilton Wilson Dempsey in his
91st year.
He was the husband of Jane
Maguire, of 181 Water St., Strat-
ford, ;formerly of Howick Town-
ship. One son and four daughters
survive.
Funeral service was on Saturday
afternoon and interment was in
Avondale mausoleum.

On Friday evening a double head-

with Belmore winning 12-1. Donald

The Wroxeter Bantams also play-
ed on Friday evening with Belmore
again winning 2-1. Bruce Mont-

At Cub Meeting

Cubs held their regular meeting on
Tuesday evening wnth a fair at-
tendance and two new chums, Gor-
don Rinn. and Wayne Hopper were
present,
Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler was in
charge and opened the meeting
with the Pack repeating .the Grand
Howl. After the Flag Salute and
Lord's Prayer, the Ctrbs were in-
spected for clean claws and each
Six leas given additional marks if
their eixee had done a good deed
that day,
After a game of cowboy tag the
group was divided in two for .sema-
pbore games and instruction. A
game Was played to review flag
work, and Mrs. Bud Ore read a
story, "Annie and Willie's Christ-
mas Prayer". Two Cubs, Gordon
Campbell and Lloyd Michie receiv-
ed their collector's badges, The
meeting closed with "Taps".
