Mr. and Mrs. TOrvey are mem- bers of Knox Presbyterian. -Church, P.luevale, and are well known in the community. Mr. Turvey was a teenier school •teacber and taught in different local schools. Mrs. Turvey has been a very .actiw, member -4414, willing worker in the Bluevale Institute, the mr.zim. and the Ladies' Aid of the Bluevale Church. They have lived. on the Second line of Morris for over 40 years ;ferent zones, That is, zone dirpetors to be elected in their zones by the members from the zones. It was felt that this would give members a better opportunity to elect their representatives. The 4-yening was spent in pro- gresslee euchre, prizes going to Kra. Lighted candles sgone ov- er a scene of the nativity, with the angels- in adoration and the wise men bringing gifts to all depleted by small figurines set on a table at the front. The first part of the meeting took the form of a carol service, Christmas enrols being 'sung by the members with Mrs. W, W. Currie at the piano. Mrs. N. McLaughlin had charge o f the meeting and explained the theme; "Advent",* the coming of Christ. The Scripture, telling of the preparation made to receive Him was read by Miis. Alvin Mof- fatt, followed with prayer by Mrs. McLaughlin.
