tinted chrysanthemums, flanked
with tall bronze candelabra, with
lighted cathedral candles, formed a
pleasing background in Blyth
United church, Saturday afternoon,
Decbmber 3, for the marriage of
Elizabeth Anne, younger daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. George C, Brown,
Blyth, to Lloyd Robert, son of Mr.
and Mrs, Gordon Hall, Bleuvale.
Rev. R. Evan MeLagan, minister
of the church, officiated at the
double-ring ceremony. The wedding
music was played by the church
organist, .Miss Margaret Jackson,
who also accompanied the soloist,
Mrs. Harold Campbell Sr., Blyth,
as she sang "The Lord's Prayer"
and' "I'll Walk Beside You,"
Owing to the' illness of the
bride's father, in Clinton Hospital,
the bride was given in marriage
by her cousin, Mr. Jack Currie, of
The bride was fovely in a floor-
length gown of nylon net and lace
over slipper satin, The fitted bo-
dice featured a- Sabrina neckline,
dotted with seed pearls and irri-
descent sequins and lily point
sleeves. The botiffant skirt was
fashioned with lace .inserts which
terminated in points at the hem-
line. Her finger-Up veil of French
illusion was clotted with pearls and
fell from a tiara of seed pearls and
irrideseent sequins. She carried
'an arrangement of blush pink roses
and white tulle.
Her only ornament was a match-
ing string of pearls and earrings.
They were the gift of the bride-
groom,
Miss Betty Blake, Blyth, was her
friend's bridesmaid. She chose
waltz-length dress of vibrant pink
velvet, fashioned with full skirt,
fitted bodice, with a scoop neck-
line. A tailored bow of the same
material accented the front waist-
line from which fell floating vel-
vet panels to the hemline. She
wore a matching velvet and silk
net head band, sprinkled with se-
quins, and carried white baby
mums arranged in blue tulle.
jack Bluevale, was his bro-
ther's best man, while another bro-
ther, Bill Hall, and Harold Camp-
bell Jr., Blyth, were the ushers.,
Following the cereniony and a
visit with the bride's father in hos-
pital, a wedding dinner was serv-
ed by Group One of the W.A. of
the United Church in the church
dinbig hall. The group was As.,
sisted in serving by Mrs, Wilma
Radford, Mrs. Shirley Vincent, Mrs.
Nellie Mason and Mrs Vera Me
Vittie, all of Blyth,
The bride's rriothef received the
guests wearing a dress of romance
blue lace, WWI Matching bolero,
and bracelet length sleeves', and a
corsage of pale pink carnations.
•• She was assisted by the ,bride-
groom's. mother, who , had chosen
P.A for the occasion, o dress bf 'Teal
bine crepe and a corsage Identical
to the bride's mother's.

Christmas banquet in the basement
of, the Anglican Church on liond4
evening.
Following the turkey dinner the
group of 30 enjoyed a singsong 4
Christmas carols, an exchange of
gifts and wound up the evening 4
enjoyable entertainment by playt
