.FIFTEEN YEARS AGO
Last week the mothers of Grade
VIII pupils of the Wingham Public
School were at the school to see
the new equipment which has been
placed there, including a sound
projection machine.
Rev. Archer Wallace, D.D., was
the guest speaker at anniversary
services in the United Church. Mrs.
W. B. Cruikshank is a daughter of
Dr. Wallace, .
IitztoW .Cantelon, recently die-
charged from the RCAF, has' been
appointed a game overseer for
Huron. County.
Two local school pupils won
prizes in the 0th Victory'Loan post-
er contest, They were Mary Cle-
land and Diane Gage.
A large tractor trailer and float,
.carrying road building .equipment,
crashed through the Lower Wing-
ham bridge and Into the river
20 feet below. Sections of the
bridge had, to be cut away with
acctlyene torches to xernovt! the
equipment.
,Mr. a H. Sell), who was recently
discharged from the RCNVR, has
been appointed accountant at this
local branch of the Dominion Bank.
He replaces Mr. Massey, who is
going to St. John, and Mr. Carl
McKay, who has been 'relieving.
The latter will return to the in-
spection staff.

stain is very bad the leather should
be scrubbed with mild detergent
suds, Rinse thoroughly but do not
