held its. regular meeting for No-
vember in the Sunday School
rooms on Wednesday evening. Mrs.
Earl Timer presided for the wor-
ship period. Mrs. Clifford Pyke
read the Scripture.
Mrs. ,Earl Toner gave a paper,
"Day by •Day", saying, "this is an
antidote for- worry, to live one day
at 'a time:' . Shut .thOse iron doors .on
yesterday, and trust in God." Mrs.
J. E. Clarke led in singing the
theme hymn, "Let. the Beauty of
Jesus Be Seen in me.
Mrs. C. Pyke, president, 'conduct-
ed the . business. Reports of the
fowl supper were given-. The lunch
committee served a delicious lundh.

Robbery.. .in Gorrie
GORRIE --Oir Wednesday night
the cold storage plant owned by
Robert Stephens was broken into
and $500 stolen from the safe. The
safe was found the next morning
about three miles northeast of the
village.
Other break-ins occurred the
same night at the mill, the garage
and Gowdy's coal and lumber of-
