from the Wingham General Hos-
pital,

land. B.C., is visiting her aunt and
uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Temple-
man and other relatives. Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Simmons, Bordwieb,
companied Mr. and Mrs. Temple-
man and Miss Jacques to London
on Sunday to visit Mrs. Tessie Zim-
merman in Victoria Hospital.

Ray Nelson of Egremont Town-
ship.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Branning and
Mrs. Clara Cohner of Toronto spent

King is somewhat improved after -
suffering a fall in his home on

Mr, Joe Bennett is improving
after being confined to bed with
Mrs. Sarah Hyndman and Mrs.
Annie Gilpin went to 'Toronto on
Tuesday. Mrs. Fred Hyndman and •
Mrs. Gilpin will remain for a week,
and Mrs. Hyndanan Sr. will spend
the winter with her daughter. Mrs. I

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Harris, Mr.
and Mrs. Arnold Halliday. Wing-
ham, spent Saturday with Mr. and
Mrs. Earl Halliday, Kitehener.
Mr. and Mrs, Charles Koch vis-
ited Mr. and Mrs. Ken Morris of
Renmiller on Sunday.

Janie of Listowel spent Sunday

Captain and Mrs. John Neilson,
Barry, Susan and Jitney, are spend- •
ing a week with Mr. and Mrs, Da-
vid Neilson. They have returned
from Hamer, Germany, where
they have spent the last three
years. They will return to Mani-
toba.
Mrs, Harold Robinson was knock-
ed down by a ear, at I.istowel's
main intersection during a heavy
rain on Tuesday evening about
five o'clock. She was taken to the
Listowel Memorial Hospital for
x-rays, No bones were found to be
broken, but she suffered severe
bruises and shock.
The Rev, J. W. Hird and Mrs.
Hird moved last Wednesday to the
parsonage at Fordwieh as Mr.
Hiru has been taking the services
in the United Church at Fordwith,
Newbridge and Maine since they
have been without a resident min-
ister.
Miss Irene Holmes is visiting ..
her brother, Mr. 1-1, V. Holmes..
Miss Betty Wylie and Mr. James
Wylie of Toronto were here at
the week-end and their mother,
Mrs. John Wylie, returned with.
them to spend the winter in To-
ronto.
Miss Alma Nash of Toronto is
visiting with Mrs. Ritchie and Tam,
Mr. Dane Griffith underwent
surgery in Palmerston Hospital on
Friday.
Wig-wags have been installed at
the C.P.R. crossing on the main
street, and will he a good safety
measure.
Mrs. Ruth Corbett has closed her
borne and will snend the winter
months with her brother, Mr. An-
son Galbraith.
Friends and neighbors gathered
at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Ro-
bert Bridge and presented them
with gifts for their twin babies,
Carolyn and Robert. Sixteen at-
tended and contests were enjoyed
and lunch served.
