The Belgrave Cub and Snout
leaders attended the annual meet-
ing of .district leaders at a dinner
in Walkerton last Wednesday night.
Several members of the group com-
mittee were also on hand. The
leaders are looking forward to
, attending the zone conference at
Exeter on November 5,

Meeting that the Saugeen District
annual church parade will be held
in TiMgrave next year. The ser-
vice :will .he „held at the arena
grounds, and in 'case of rain will
be held-in the arena itself,

During the service the Cob and
Scout flags were dedicated. Jim

Despite' tit ghosts, and goblins of
a • wet, 'spooky Hallowe'en - night,
the Men's League continued into its
third week of bowling' with. a per-
fect attendance by all six teams,
Tien Saxton showed• that there
was nothing • to be afraid of, by
howling a 350 single,' the league's
best so' far this season, and posted
a 796.' triple, which is also -tops in
that department for .the season.

Wingham Mustangs captured the
North Baron Secondary Schools
Association ,championship by de-
feating the Goderich. Spartans 58-0
On the Wingham field on October
26th. In the fifth victory of the six-
aarne series the Mustangs clinched
their win, and retained the Hanna-
Ninnp Trophy which they have
held continuously since 1957.
'Stand-outs for the, Wingham
team were Howard. and MacDonald,
racking up two touchdowns each,
The other six-point scores were run
by Carmichael, Merkicy, Dallimare,
Lockridge and Vivian. 'Several suc-
cessful plays, such as the reverse,
hand-off, pitch-out, and quarter-
back run were used.' Pour of the
touchdowns were converted. Credit
must also be given to the defensive
half ef the Mustang team, They
held the line in many of the hard-
driving, but unsuccessful, Goderich
plays.
Congratulations are extended to
the whole Mustang team for their
tireless efforts throughout the
regular ,season, After the final
game with Goderich next. week,
Wingharri, advances to a home and
home series with Strathroy.

nesday evening. Shirley Storey

•Zebras to a 3 to 1 victory over
the Nrazy Eats-, despite . the 627
triple given by Gwen MacLaurie
of the Krazy Eat 'team, In the
other two contests the Tired Tigers
downed the Slippery Seals 3 to 1,
while the Lazy Leopards defeated
the Busy Beavers by. an identical
score.

Fire Hall
At the regular Jmeeting on Fri-
day evening the members of the
Wingham Fire Department dis-
cussed their canvass in aid of
the Muscular DystrophyAssociation
of Canada. The firemen will be
out M full force on Friday, No-
vember 25„ They will meet at the
hall at 7 p.m. ,and will then call
from door to door.

banquet for members of the bri-
gade and their wives will be on
November 23 at the Legion Home

ing the Thanksgiving holiday,
Larry has been moved from Nova
Scotia to quebee and was return-
