MUSTANGS LIKELY
FOR CHAMPIONSHIP
On the Seaforth District High
School's field; the Wingham Mus-
tangs clinched their fourth victory
by defeating the Seaforth Golden
Bears by a score of 20 to 0.
Outstanding players on the Wing-
ham team were Fuller, who inter-
cepted two would-be touchdowns
for Seaforth; Carmichael, who
made many first downs for the
Mustangs with. his hard-driving
pitch-outs; and Howard, who scor-
ed a touchdown and ran a convert.
Carmichael also kicked a single
and ran a touchdown. MacDonald
broke through the Seaforth de-
fence to score Wingham's third
touchdown on a hand-off.
Wingham's game was interrupted
by many offside penalties, while
the Golden Bears had difficulty in
gaining yards.
The final score was: Wingham
20, Seaforth 0, With this victory,
Wingham is almost assured of the
North Huron Secondary School
sociation championship.

Ladies' -Bowling
Competition 'at -the local bowling
alley got. under way again last
Wednesday night as the ladies sat
around and shot the 'breeze. and
threw the odd bowl. As the evening
ended,- it left the first four teams
with only five points separating
them, so the race - was tightened
considerably.
Hilda 'Parkinson, of the - Tired
Tigers, bowled a 23$ single, making
her tops in that department. Ruth
Thompson, of the Krazy Kats, had
the best triple of the evening with
a 573 score.
The standings at the end of four
weeks' bowling show the Zooming
Zebras in frist place with• 12 pts,
They are. closely followed by the
•Krazy Katz with -11, ,pts., and the,
• Tired Tigers with -10aThe 'Slippery.
.have :slid into 'fourth- .place.
with 7 pts. Tlye Lazy Leopards and
the Busy Beavers are tied for fifth
position with 4 pts, each,
