Psalm 104 was read responsively.
Mrs. J. °strum of Wingbam, 'in-
troduced by Mrs. James McInnis,
gave a splendid address on the im-
portance of being thankful for, the
many things that God has planned
in our lives. She said all the work

Mrs. Johnston Conn thanked the

address. Thanksgiving hymns were

School in Japan" and Mrs: W. .T.
Peacock gave "The Bible.; in a
Fickle Jar", showing how trans-
lations of the Scripture were saved
during the Korean War. The junior
choir led the singing.

The Women's Missionary Society
meeting of Belmore United Church
was held on October' 19th at the
honie of the president, Mrs. Harry
Mulvey. Mrs. Joe Simmons was
leader' and opened the meeting
with prayer, which was followed by
the hymn, ,"0 for a Thousand
Tongueeto Sing"; then all joined
in repeating the general thanks-
giving prayer. Scripture was elead
responsively, •
Mrs. T. Abraham had the Jest
chapter in the study hook, "Africa
Disturbed". Mrs, Fred Johann gave
a good reading "No Color Bar With
God", and Mrs. W. Johann gave a
reading on "temperance". The roll
call was a verse on "thanks",

ing the sectional meeting in, thee

4-11 CLUB MEETING
BELMORE---The fifth meeting
of the Delmore 4-H homemaking
club was held at the home of the
assistant leader, Mrs. Glenn Apple-
by, Saturday afternoon, Thirteen
girls answered the roll call. The
leader discussed party planning,
party themes, party decorations,
table decor:el:ions, games, introduc-
tions and party guests, Marjorie
Kieffer and Mary Elliott demon-
strated the making of Swedish tea'
cakes. Mrs, Appleby demonstrated
the making of cocoa. Mrs, Kieffer
then showed the girls the method
of making a chip dip. The foods-
demonstrated were served arid en-
joyed by the members.
It was decided to meet on Satur-
day afternoon, Oct. 29th at the
home of Mrs. Ralph Dickson,
Georgina Kieffer moved a vote of
thanks to the hostess for her hos-
pitality and the meeting was
brought to a close.
