W.O.A.A. CHAMPIONS—The Whitechurch Midget ball team finished
their best of 5 series with Arthur last Saturday afternoon, and won the
series in three games straight. The score in the final game was 14-6
for the Whitechurch nine. As winners they won the Harold Priebe

Belgrave Cubs met in the arena
for their regular sessioo on Tues-
day night with 30 Cubs, their lea-
der, Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler and
four assistant leaders present.
The meeting opened with the
Grand Howl and Cub prayer. This
was followed by a game in which
the boys tried to imitate different
animals, After inspection the
boys again divided into four groups
for instruction, according to their
age and advancement.
Mrs. Gordon McBurney taught
the flag and patron saints to the
beginners and discussed the earn-
ing 'Of badges with the older boys.

Cokumercial Bowlers
Report will 'be short and to the
point in order to catch this week's
edition. Everyone in fine fettle
but Some teams suffered slight re-
verses. Ken Redmond's team
snuck ahead of Burke's Irish. Re-
minds you of the present World
Series. Ken had "Roy Face" 'Tay-
lor and "Vernon Law" Brown pit-
ching.
Hilda Brown was high lady with
a 234 single and 571 triple.
Harold Taylor was high gent
with 250 single and 643 triple.
Team standings: Trade Winds,
26; Burke's Irish, 23; Walker's
Special, 18; Brown Jugs, 15; Roy-
al Scots, 10; Canada Six, 8.

Ladies' Bowling
The ladies were out In full force
again last Week for another even-
ing of bowling, The newly finished
alleys had everyone fooled for a
frame or two until Hilda Brown
came to the rescue with some
Johnsons' Baby Powder to get us
all sliding back into form. Hilda
then gave a fine demonstration on
the new lanes, by posting the high
single of 269, and triple of 726.
As the result of two weeks' bowl-
ing, Mary Campbell's ZOOMING
ZEBRAS hold a perfect record of
eight. points for first place, rack-
ing up four points both nights.
Lila, Hickey's TIRED TIGERS
took three points, moving into sec-
ond place with a total of five.
Gwen \itticLaurin's 'MAZY FATS
gave a repeat performance of the
fir, t v•eck by picking up two
compass as part of the second star
requirements and helped the in-
termediates with knots.' Mrs.. B.
Orr taught semaphore signalling
and told the jungle tale, and Mrs.
Harold Vincent started the boys
on some craft Work. They are all
going to carve animals.
Three Cubs obtained their first
star, Lloyd Michie, George Johns-
ton and 'David Bosnian.
Seven boys brought along work
they had done to earn the toy-
maker badge, Brian Hopper, Ivan
Wheeler, Donald Vincent, Alan
Carter, David Bosman, Donald
Bosman and Ronald McBurney.
The new Saugeen District badges
were distributed to the Cubs. Af-
ter a sing-song the meeting closed
with Taps.

Regular Meeting
The October meeting of Morris
Township School Board was held
in the. township hall, October 6th
with all members present.
The minutes of the September
meeting. were approved on a motion
of Shortreed' add Mitchell.
Correspondence f rom Morris

Trustees' Convention at Guelph was
read and discussed.
