Rev. L. Slofstra officiated on
Friday evening for the marriage
of Jane De Boer, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs, R. De Boer of Seaforth
and Keith De Vries, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Jacob De Vries,•R.R. 5, Brus-
sels. The wedding took place in
Christian Reform Church, Clinton.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father. She wore a floor-
length gown of nylon net and lace
over satin, the bodice fashioned
with sabrina neckline, trimmed
with sa ed pearls and sequins, and
lily-point sleeves. Her finger-tip
veil of illusion was held by a tiny
tiara of seed pearls and sequins
and she carried a bouquet of pink
and white roses.
Her bridesmaids were Miss Carol
De Boer and Miss Susan De Boer.
The former wore embroidered blue
nylon sheer over satin, with hat
to match, while the latter was
attired in Pink nylon sheer 'over
satin with matching hat. They
carried bouquets of pink and white
roses. .
Klaas De Vries attended his
brother as best man.
The couple left on a honeymoon
and on their return will live in
Belgrave.

Standards of bronze mums and
candelabra graced St' Andrew's
Presbyterian Church, Clinton, on
Saturday afternoon at four o'clock
for the wedding of Carrie Russila
Verhoef and William Ralph Nixon.
The double-ring ceremony was per-
formed by Rev. D. 'r. Lane.
The organist was Mrs. Morgan
Agnew and Mrs. Madeline Edward
sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "0
Perfect Love," during the signing
Of the register.
Mr, and Mrs. Arie Verhoef, of
R. R. 5. Clinton, are the parents of
the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Isaac
Nixon, of R. It. 7, Lucknow, are
the groom's parents.
The bride 'chose a floor-length
gown of bridal taffeta on lirineess
lines, featuring a Chantilly lace
bodice styled with long, lily-point
sleeves and scalloped sabrina neck-
line sprinkled with irridescent se-
quins and pearls. The bouffant
skirt fell into a chaoel train and
her double French illusion veil was
held by a crown of lace, edged with
pearls. She carried a bouquet of
Talistrian roses. Mr. Verhoef gave
his daughter's hand in Marriage.
Miss Vera Verhoef, sister of the
bride, was the maid of honor. Her

A quiet but pretty autumn wed-
ding took place at the United
Church manse on Wednesday after-
noon of last week, when Barbara
MacDonald McKillop became the
bride of Raymond Merkley, Rev.
T. G. Husser officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr,
and Mrs. George McKillop 'of Han-
over, and the groom is a son of Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Merkley, of Wing-
ham.
The bride wore a dusty rose
organza over white flowered taffeta
dress. Her bridesmaid was Miss
Isabel Scott of Wingham, who
wore beige brocaded taffeta with
matching accessories.
John Merkiey, Wingham, brother
of the groom, was best man.
A reception was held at the Hart-
House in Walkerton.

They left for a wedding trip to
Northern Ontario,
Chrysanthemums and candles
formed the all-white setting for a
double-ring ceremony in Wingham
United Church on Saturday, when
Barbara Verlee Edwards and Alan
James Given were united in mar-
riage. Officiating were the Rev.
Garnett Husser and Rev. William
Reid. The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. William Harold
Edwards. The groom is the eldest
son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Given
of Mar.
Mrs, W. W. Currie presided at
the organ and accompanied the
soloist, ,Mrs, George Guest, who
sang "The Wedding Prayer" and
"My World":
The bride was given in marriage
by her father, She wore a period
gown of Italian peau-de-soie. Gui-
pure lace edged the neckline, Folds
fell softly from a bustle-back to
form a chapel train, The match-
ing headdress held in place a
veil of silk illusion. The bride
carried a cascade of white chrys-
anthemums.
Mrs, Richard Assenzio of New
York, as matron of honour, wore
a gown of cinnamon peau-de-soie.

Vows on Saturday
FORDWICH—On Saturday after-
noon at three o'clock, St, Andrew's
Presbyterian Church, Molesworth,
was the scene of a pretty fall wed-
ding, when Rev. J. W, McClure
officiated for the marriage of Betty
Joann Kennedy to Donald George
Koenig, The bride is the daughtr
of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kennedy,
Fordwich, and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Koenig,
Ayton.
Organist was Mrs, L. G. Peach of
Listowel and the soloist was Mrs.
Kenneth Reist of Ayton, The
church was decorated with ferns,
baskets of gladioli and altar can-
delabra.
The bride, who was given in
marriage by her father, wore a
ballerina-length gown of white
organza silk and hand-clipped lace
over net and taffeta, The figure
moulding bodice was highlighted
by a picture Sabrina neckline and
short sleeves. The hooped, boufant
skirt of organza was ornamented
with rows of lace. She wore elbow
mitts and her shoulder-length veil
fell from a crown edged with seed
pearls and carried a heart-shaped
nosegay of red sweetheart roses.
The matron of honor, Mrs. Ell-
wood Koepite, of Drayton, sister
of the bride and the hridesmaid,
Airs. Nelles Koenig of Ayton, cousin
of the groom, wore identical baller-
ina-length dresses in aqua organza
styled on princess lines, with velvet
bows down the back. Both had
brief sleeves and wore small crawns
edged with seed pearls. They car-
ried nosegays of yellow and white
mums.
Jahn Koenig of Ayton was the
groomsman, and ushers were Bruce
Koenig of Ayton and Ellwood
Koepke, of Drayton.
A reception was held in the
chnreh parlors at 5.30 for guests
from Listowel, Ayton, Mildmay,
Breslau, Harriston, Kitchener,
Southampton, Palmerston, Dray-
ton, London, Hanover, Gowanstown
and Grand View, Man. The bride's
mother chose a brown satin dress
with beige accessories and corsage
of yellow mums, She was assisted
by the groom's mother who wore
a dress of moss green silk with

reside in Wingham, left on a wel-
ding trip, the bride wearing a
white and grey wool suit with black
accessories, She is on the nursing
staff at Wingham General Hos-
pital.
For a good, old-faattiOned, fhtffy
turkey stuffing use crumbs made
with four or five day old baker's
bread or two to three-day old
homemade bread. Crumbs should
be fine and fluffy. Season to taste
with finely chopped onion, salt,
pepper, poultry seasoning and
melted butter, Fill turkey body and
neck cavities lightly with stuffing
to allow room for expansion dur-
