In the female classes Banella Perfection Blossom was first senior yearling and reserve junior cham- pion, Banella Reflector Sheila was first 2-year-old in milk and Banella Shamrock Yuletide (Excellent) was first 4-year-old, reserve senior and reserve grand champion and was first in the best udder class, The Hayden herd also placed 'first in the "senior herd, junior herd and for the cow with over 100,000 pounds of milk in her lifetime. GORRIE---St. Stephen's Anglican Church was the setting for the marriage at 12 noon, Saturday, Pc:. tober 1st, of Jean Joseph Andari, and Betty Susan Zimmerman, both of Clinton. The bride is the daugh- ter of Mrs. W. S. Zimmerman, Gorrie, and the late Mr. Zimmer- man. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Andari, of Leban- on, The Rev, E. C. Attwell, rector of the church, officiated for the double-ring ceremony. Douglas Fleischer, of Clinton, was solist, and Mrs. Frank King was at the organ, The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Harry Zimmerman, wore • a floor-length gown with train of champagne peau-de-soie in prinecss line with unpressed pleats falling to a full skirt. It had a scoop neckline and bodice ap- pliqued with Argentine lace flowers and seed pearls. Her headdress was a champagne pearl tiara touched with a finger-tip champagne pure silk illusion veil. She carried a crescent bouquet of bronze poms, copper stephanotis and green wax- ed leaves. Mrs. Harry Templeman, of Gor- rie, was matron of honor, Mrs. Jack Shiell, of Wingham, was 'brides- maid, and Miss Susan Templeman,, Gorrie, was junior bridesmaid. They wore street-length gowns of copper crystal charm styled similar to that of the bride, and carried- crescent bouquets of bronze mums and green waxed leaves. James Newland, of Clinton, was ring bearer. Arthur Cooper, oiLon- don, was groomsman and William Zimmerman and Robert Temple- man Were ushers. The 'bride's mother wore a coffee ensemble with mushroom accessor- ies and a corsage of Chalice roses, for the reception at the Gorrie community hall. Dinner was served by the Even- ing Auxiliary of St. Stephen's to about 80 guests from Clinton, Lon-, don, Windsor, •Detroit, Toronto, Hamilton,Leamington, Listowel, Blyth an Fordwieh. The color scheme was pink and white. In the church a profusion of white gladioli and cedar boughs were used. For a wedding trip to Montreal the bride chose a two piece pure lamb's wool with matching acces- series and a white gardenia. The couple will reside in Fordwieh. A telegram of congratulation was received from the bride's 'sister, Mrs. Addle Jacques, and Mr. Jac- ques, of Summerland, B.C. Mrs. Robt. Ferguson, Was in 39th Year. OORRIE-After a, lengthy illness borne with cheerfulness .and pa- tience, Mrs. Robert Ferguson, lot 8, concession 17, Howick Township, passed away Tuesday morning, September 27th in the Wingha,m General Hospital. She was in her 39th year. She was the former Margaret Jean White, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John White, concession 17, Howick. Born at Riversdale, she came with her parents to Howick at the age of four years, She re- ceived her education at No, 1 school and at Wroxeter Continu- ation School. She was a -graduate 'of the Stratford General Hospital.
