the year 1960
—A By-law to license trailers et-
cept trailers located in a trailer
camp and for prohibiting such
trailers being located in the mu-
nicipality except in a trailer camp,
without a license therefor.--
'VVHEFtAS Section 388 subsection
(1) paragraph 91b of the Municipal
Act, being Chapter 243, of the Re-
vised Statutes of Ontario 1950, pro-
vides that by-laws may be passed
by the Councils of local municipal-
ities for licensing trailers, as de-
fined in paragraph 91a of Section
388 as aforesaid, located in the
municipality, except in a trailer
camp, for 30 days or longer in any
year and for prohibiting such
trailers being located in the mu-
nicipality except in a trailer camp
without a license therefor;
AND WHEREAS it Is deemed
expedient and desirable to make
provision for the licensing of such
trailers in the Municipality of the
Corporation of the Township of
Howick. THEREFORE the Corpor-
ation of the Township of Howick
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Every trailer located in the
Township of Howick except in a
trailer camp shall be licensed under
this By-law and no trailer shall be
located within the municipality for
a period exceeding 30 days unless
a license has been obtained.
2, License fees shall be charged
for every month or portion of a
month that the trailer is located
in the municipality and the license
fees, except for the first 30 days
shall be payable in advance.
3. The license fee for each trailer
shall be Three Dollars ($3,00) per
month.
4. A trailer when located in the
municipality only for the purposes
of sale or storage shall not be
required to he licensed under this
by-law.
5. Any person who contravenes
any of the provisions of this by-law
shall be liable on summary con-
viction to a fine not exceeding
Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00)
exelusive of costs,
