district, The decision veas reach-
ed to notify other school districts
who are sending students to the
Wingham school, and to request
tuition fees to cover the costs,
Principal Prank Madill, in his
report, said that enrolment is 6e9,
an increase of 63 over the pre-
vious term. The cafeteria is filled
to capacity, and twO new tables
will be required for the main room
and three smaller ones for use by
the staff,
Due to staff limitations for the
activity period, which is from 3.10

ed 'that town students who' are not
doing extra work or engaged in
activities be allowed to leave the
building at 3.10 p.m. The board
agreed to the suggestion, The
hoard also agreed to the use of
the area at the rear of the school
as a parking lot for staff mem-
bers, It was also agreed to install
numbers on the doors of the var-
ious classrooms.
As a matter of formality the
board approved the text books now
in use. A request for extra help
In . the school office during busy
periods was also approved.
Mr. Madill stated that the re-
sults of the Grade 13 examinations
were not as high, on the average,
*as had been hoped, and said this
may be attributed to the fact that
a number of new teachers were
handling the Grade 13 subjects. He
requested and received permission
to ask for more scholarships from
local citizens. He said he was
pleased to announce that Christine
Runstedtler had won 'a $500.00
scholarship and Irene Saint $250.00.
The principal also discussed the
problems relative' to night school
with the board, and it was decided
