the schoolroom of the United
Church. Mrs. Milton Fraser pre-
sided.
It was decided to hold the fall
thankoffering meeting on Friday.

auxiliary, Mrs. W. R. Welsh to be
the guest speaker.

of Mrs. James Johnston and Mrs.
Harvey Edgar. Mrs. Edgar gave
the Scripture reading and medita-
tion and Mrs. James Elston led in
prayer. Mrs. James Johnston con-
tinued the study of Africa and re-
ferred especially to radio 'programs
and movies.
Radio programs provide instruc-
tion in religious education, music,
drama and agriculture. Many Af-
ricans go abroad to study. Films
imported from Western countries
are not always of the best type and
sometimes incite to thieving and
violence.
