A two-year-old Holstein heifer was killed Mat Monday on the railroad tracks west of Elmer Sleightholm's lane crossing. Albert Wright (Too late for last week) GOI'llRIE- -Albert (Bert) Wright died Stleiday afternoon in the Han- over Hospital after a long illness. Born in Howick Township be was a son of the late Mr. and Mg's. Charles Wright. He farmed on con. 17, Howlek, until retiring to Gorrie a few years ago. He was a member of the United Church. His wife, the former Eva Gal- braith predeceased him some four years ago. Surviving are one daugh- ter, Mrs. Harold arene) Huth, Ayton; two sisters, Mrs, 1Vfargar'et Haskins, Howick; Mrs. Archie Winkle, Brussels. There are seven grandchildren. The body is at Roluf's funeral home, Clifford, until Wednesday when service will be held in the Gorrie United Church, at 2.30 p.m. Interment in Gorrie Cemetery. In Woodstock they visited Silver- woods and saw the different pro- cesses in making Silverwood's. new Handirnilk, a, pasteurized powdered milk. Picnic lunch was eaten at Southside Park, At Brantford calls were made at the Mohawk Institute and the Mo- hawk Chapel, the first church built in Canada, which is 175 years old. A visit was also made to the resi- dence of Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone. This borne is kept as a museum with furniture used at that time. They returned home by way of Kitchener where the ladies had dinner.
