He had been a patient there since August lath. He was born in Howick Town- ship, a son ef the late William Casernore and Mary McPherson His early life was spent in Howick. He resided in Petrolia for a num- ber of years before coming to Gerrie. Survivors are his wife, the former Hannah Mole; two daughters, Mrs. Geo. (Etoile) Mundell, Glanford Station, and Mrs, Fred (Madeline) Delares of Hamilton; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Adair, Bluevale; Mrs. Caroline Palmer, Wroxeter; Mrs. Lloyd (Irene) Hennings, Turnberry Township and Mrs. Anne Ritchie, Gorrie. Funeral service was at the Moie funeral home, Gorrie, on Monday at 2 pan e conducted by the Rev. J. W. Hire, Interment was in Wroxeter cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymond Hennings, Clarence Herrings, Jack Adair, Raymond Haugh, George Gallaway, Kenneth Gallaway. MON. - TUES. - WED. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Deachrean and family, Toronto, were Week- end guests of Mr. and Isere. Gilbert Howes, Mr. and Mrs. John Howes and Jean, who have spent a week here, returned to Toronto with them. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Walker spent a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Weppler, Cheeley, Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Galbraith and daughters, Karen and ICath- eryn, of Wingham, vlieted Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs, James Dolg, Mrs, Wm. Newton and daughters, Marsha and Jo, of Bryon, spent the week-end with Mrs. R. Newton prior to their departure to join Mr. Newton in Alberta, who has been transferred there as district superintendent of the VLA for the province of Alberta, Northwest Territories and Yukon. We wish them every sueceess in their new home. Mr. Ross Tornan was a Sunday visitor with Mr, and Mrs. Howard Bowman, of Manbeim, and also called on his brother, Mr. Wallace Tomah, in the K-W Hospital, Mr. and Mrs, Bud Stewart and Debbie, of Harriston, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Verne Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Collier and Gary, London, Mr. and Mrs. Don Gibson and Dana, Monkton, were Sunday visitors with Mr, and Mrs. Ira McLean. Mr, Oswald Simpson, Jamestown, visited his sister, Mrs. Frank F, Wright, on Sunday. Mr, Ian Howes has gone to Tor- onto, where he will Attend Teach- ers' College next term. Mr. and Mrs. James Reid and Michael, Toronto, are visiting Mrs. V. Brothers. Mr. and Mrs, Jas. Robertson, Jimmy nad Scott, and Mrs. Ethel Carmichael, Goderich, spent the week-end at the home of Mr. John Hupfer and with Mrs. A. Sperling. Mrs. Carmichael remained for a longer visit with her sister. Miss Linda and Master Michael Stewart, Harriston, spent a few days with Mr, and Mrs. Verne Clark recently, Mr. and Mrs. A. Green and daughters, Linda and Janis, of Goderich, spent Saturday and Sun- day with Mr. and Mrs. George Gibson, and Master Murray and Miss Glenis Gibson returned to Goderich with them for a visit. Mr. and Mrs, Bob Gathers, (Berva Gallaherkeeof- 33arrie,- leave this week for their home in Merrick- ville, where Bob has accepted the position of chief clerk in the Rural Hyd Mr, and Mrs. Jack McLean re- turned home on Monday after holi- daying in Vancouver, Banff and Calgary. Mr. McLean attended Grand Prior of Canada which was held in Vancouver Hotel, Small Building Destroyed by Fire GORRIE—A small building at the home of Mr, a,nd„.1VIrs,.. Robert Mitchell was destroyed by fire about 10 am. Friday. The home was formerly owned by Elmer Downey. The east side of the house, which was close by, was 'scorched. Wingham Rural Fire Dept. was called. Rev, Leslie Renault officiated at the candlelight wedding at which the altar was decorated with white and pink gladioli flanked by burn- ing candelabra, Den Davey, solist, sang "Because" and "The Lord's Prayer", accom- panied by Mrs. Grace McGee at the organ. Given in marriage -by her uncle, • William Young, of tVingham, the bride looked radiant in a full-length gown of silk organza fashioned with scalloped neckline trimmed with hand-cut lace and sequins, bouffant skirt and lily-point sleeves. Her waist-length yell of silk illusion, edged with small rose appliques and sequins was caught to a tiara of pearls and she carried a white Bible crested with red rose buds. Attending as maid of -honor was Mies Marion Weekes, of London, and bridesmaids were Miss Carol Derbeeker, of Wingliam, and Mrs. Sandy McLaren, of Sarnia. Flower- girl was Miss Rae McLaren, All attendants were identically gowned in street-length dresses in pastel shades of mauve, green, pink and blue. They were of French silk with insets of white lace fashioned with fitted bodices, circular neck- lines and full skirts. They wore' white headpieces with matching ac- cessories and carried bouquets of matching tinted 'mums, Acting as best man was John Mc- Ferran and ushering guests were Robert Young and Jack Proctor. For-n—radeptiorr held. in-Laeree Lea Presbyterian Church hall, the bride's mother received gueets in a turquoise lace sheath with pink ac- cessories and a corsage of pink rose buds.
