Mrs. Candy, in Toronto.

ham Hospital, was removed to Vic-
toria Hospital, London, on Satur-
day, for observation,

ing a few days this week with his

of Niagara Falls were week-end
visitors with his brother, Mr. Co-

in a decorated arch before some 30
friends. • Linda. Hutton drew in a
wagon, laden with a decorated -hos
which contained many useful
household articles, from linen and
china to kitchen utensils. The even-
ing was taken up by the bride-
elect opening each -of the gifts
and pleasant conversation. Lunch
was served by the hostesses.

Mrs. John Langridge.
Mr, and Mrs, W, E. Fielding re-
turned home last Thursday after
spending the past two weeks as the
guests of the latter's brother and
sister-in-law, Rev. Peter and Mrs
Bissett, in Castro Valley, Calif.
They were joined -by Mr. and Mrs,
J. M. Bissett, of Hamilton, during
,the first week, and all enjoyed
touring the San Francisco-Oakland
area and visiting with nephews and
nieces. Both parties made the trip
by air from Melton to .0akland
and return.

and Doug, returned home at the
i week-end from a two weeks' va-
cation at Southampton Beach. On
Tuesday Karen left on a trip to
Gaspe, Prince Edward Island and
the New England States with her
uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. floss
iDeLong and Judy, They Will be
,away for three weeks.
Guests attended from Toronto,
Guelph, London, Orillia, Luean,
Mitchell, Atwood, Lueknow, Dun-
gannon, Goderich, Wingham, Wal-
kerton, Flint, Mich., and Regina,
Sask.
•The reception was held in the
church parlor, -which was decor-
ated with white gladioli, mauve and
white streamers and bells. Sweet
peas and trailing ivy, were used
as table decorations.
Receiving the guests, the bride's
mother wore a sheath dress of
cornflower blue embroidered or-
ganza, with -beige accessories. Mc
was assisted by the groom's mo-
ther in a lilac sheath dress of
Chantilly lace with champagne ac-
cessories,
The bride's travelling costume
was a brown organza dress over
taffeta. The bodice was shirred
and the skirt Was full. She wore
olive green accessories and -a cor-
sage of yellow roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Crawford left on a
trip to Northern Ontario. They
will make their home in Wingham.

United Church on Saturday for the
wedding of Jean Wilhelmine,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. L.
I.Vightman of Blyth, and Kenneth
Allan Crawford, son of Mr, and
Mrs, J. Leonard Crawford of
Wingham. The ceremony was per-
formed at 2.30 p.m. by Rev, Dr.
R E. Vipond, assisted- by Rev.
R, E. MeLagan,
Miss Claire Taylor of Blyth sang
"OS Perfect Loves" and "The Lord's
Prayer" and "Wedding Benedic-
tion". She was accompanied by
Kiss Margaret Jackson, who wsa
the organist.

the bride, gave her in marriage.
