A quiet weddime took place in
Trinity Anglican Church, Belgrave,
an July 8th at 8 p.m. when Martha
Edythe, elder daught or of Mr. and
Mrs, litigh Rinn, R.R. 4, Brue-
eels, was united In marriage with
It:Ivey Wayne, elder son of Mrs.
Chris. Rock of RR. 2, Monitton
and the late Mr. Rock.
Rev. C. F. Johnson of 'Wingham
Performed the ceremony. Given
in marriage by her father, the
bride looked charming in cr street-
length dress of pint bridal satin
over crinolines and hoops. The
dress featured a straight:, high
neckline falling to ri V in the back,
long lily-point sleeves, lowered
waistline, going to a V in the hack
with e very full skirt. Her shoulder-
length veil was of nylon tulle, the
halo fashioned of pleated nylon net
on a plastic clip trimmed with ae-
quins. She carried a bouquet of

of yellow flocked nylon, featuring

Sings at Wedding
Baskets of pink and white flow-
ers decorated the chancel steps and
white' gladioli were on the altar
of --Trinity Anglican Church, Bel-
gritve, on Saturday, July 30 at two
o'clock for the wedding of Margar-
et Elsie Cantrill and Anthony E.
Langridge, both of Hamilton. The
bride is the daughter of Mrs. Elsie
Cantrill of Birmingham, England,
and the groom's parents are 3./fr.
and Mrs. Fredrick Langridge,
R.R. 5, Brussels.
Rev. F. Mealey officiated at the
ceremony, assisted by Rev. Pren
de Vries 'of Exeter, a former rec-
tor of Belgrave. Mrs. Lawrence
Vannan was organist and played
traditional wedding music. She
also accompanied a choir of ten
children who sang as the proces-
sional, "We Lift Our Hearts 0
Father", and "0 Perfect Love" dur-
ing the signing of the register.
Given in marriage by Mr. B. C,
Bennett of Hamilton, the bride
choge a street-length gown of white
organza over satin with scoop
neckline, featuring short sleeves
and shirred bodice, trimmed with
small bows of satin down the front.
A crown of seed pearls held her
shoulder-length veil, and she car-
ried a cascade of pink roses.
The 'bride's only attendant was
her winsome flower girl, Roberta
Beimett of 'Hamilton, who wore a
short dress of white organza over
pink taffeta, with a round neckline
antr,puff sleeves. She wore It circ-
let of ,pink flowers la ,her hair arid,
carried a basket of pink roses and•
white • eheysarithemums.
The -best man was ,Dennis Lang-e, ridge, 'brother of the groom, R.R. 5,
Brussels, and the guests were ush-
ered by John Langridge, Wingham,
also a brother of the 'bridegroom.

dance was held In the Foresters'
Hall • on Friday evening • in honor
of Mr, and Mrs. Harry Brydges,
who were recently married.
During lunch time Bill CoulLes
called the young couple to the plat-
form and read an address and Alec
Nethery presented them with a
purse • of money. They were also
presented with a television lamp on
behalf of the Junior Farmers.
Harry expressed thanks to all on
behalf of himself and his bride.

Mrs, Charles Shiell, Mrs. Em-
erson Simmons and Miss Mary
Stapleton were hostesses on Mon-
day evening at the former's home
in East Wawanosh, for a shower in
honor of Miss Joan Wightman,
whose wedding, takes place on
Saturday. There were about 50
friends present.
Several contests were held, Mrs,
Leslie Wightman and Miss Taylor
of Myth and Mrs. Mae Eadie and
Miss Isabel Smith were the win-
ners, Miss Janet ]3eecroft won the
prize for having a birthday closest
to the wedding date.
Following the singing of "The
More We 'Oct Together", Mrs. Gil-
bert Beecroft read an address and
Mrs. Mac E•adie and Miss Mary
Stapleton presented the bride-elect
with an electric frying pan, an
adjustable ironing board and cover
and a laundry basket.
The hostesses served a dessert
lunch to conclude a very pleasant
evening.

BELGRAVE—The Women's Mis-
sionary Society of Knox Preebyter-
ian Church met in the church on
Tuesday evening. Mrs. Joe Dun-
bar presided and opened the meet-
ing with prayer. A hymn was sung
and the Scripture reading was tak-
en by Mrs. Mac Scott, followed by
prayer by Mrs. Edgar Wightman.
The secretary and treasurer each
gave their reports which were ad-
opted. A short business session
followed and articles for the bale
are to be in by Sept. 1st.
Mrs. Athol Bruce chose Stephen
as the Bible character of the month.
The sick and shut-in visits were
recorded and the roll call was ans-
wered with a verse from the
church calendar. The offering was
received and dedicated.
Mrs. Clifford Purdon had the
topic from the study book, "Which
Way Young Africa?" Mrs, Art
Scott, a former member and now
residing in Midland, favored with

morning. 'Mrs. Walter 'Scott pre-

prayer and Mrs. Willard Armstrong
read the Scripture lesson.
Mrs, G, W. Tiffin, Wingham, the
president of the W.M.S. of Huron
Presbyterial, gave an interesting
address based on seeking for the
better pearl, telling how the work
of the church must reach out, al-
ways working for better fellowship
with people and communities.

BELMORE --The W.IVLS, of the
United Church met at the home
of rMs. Carl Douglas with the
president, Mrs. Harry Mulvey,
in charge. She opened the meeting
with the singing of a hymn, fol-
lowed 'by responsive reading from
Scripture. Phyllis Pace and Wayne
Douglas sang a duet, "God Is
Everywhere", Mrs. Harper gave
a reading, "Somebody's Mother",
and Mrs. F. Johann gave a reading
on temperance.
Mrs. Carl Douglas gave a very
interesting paper on the life of
Isabel (Miller) Coon, who became
a missionary in the China Inland
Mission.
The roll call was a verse on "Har-
vest". A hymn was sung and the
meeting closed with prayer. Mrs.
Douglas served a dainty lunch and
a social half hour was spent.

Oarling-Sangster Reunion
Over 150 relatives attended the
Darling-Sangster reunion in 130-
more park on. Civic Holiday, Races
and contests were provided 'for
young, and old and a lively game of
ball was enjoyed.
Mrs. Thomas Aitken, of Elmwood
won the prize for the ()Meet lady
present; Alex :Sangster of Mildmay
for the eldest man; Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Darling and family of Cal-
gary came the furthest; Mr. and
Mrs. John Sangster of Winghena
were the longest married; Mr. and
Mrs. James Darling of Brampton,

CRAWS LOCATION
BELMORE-On Thursday after-
noon the members of the Beimore
Library Board held a "bee" and
moved the library from Mrs. Earl
McaTee's home to the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Cameron at the garage.
Mrs. McNee has 'been librarian for
the past nine years and now Mrs.
Cameron will take over that duty,
Thie library was organized in
1930 and has carried on continually
ever since. At present it contains
000 books and the Huron County
Bookmobile calls every three
months and leaves 100 of their
'hooks, changing them each time.
The librarian has been commend-
ed many times by outsiders on the
variety and quality of theebooks in
the library, but no library can be a
real asset unless the people of the
community melee trace of it, so the
,Board hopes that the people here
