On 56th Anniversary
Two rinks from the Wingham
Ladies' Lawn Bowling Club com-
peted in the Irwin Trophy tourna-
ment in Clinton last Wednesday.
Miss Agnes Mitchell, skip, Mrs. H.
'Edwards and Mrs. Andy Mitchell,
winners of the trophy last year,
were in fourth place.
The second Wing.hain rink was
composed of Mrs. Herb Campbell,
skip, Mrs. R. H. Lloyd and Mrs.
Gordon Godkin.
The trophy was won by Mrs,
Knott's Clinton rink. This honor
came on a very special day for
Mrs. 'Knott, who was married 56
years on Wednesday, •

To Goderich Team

fered their second defeat of the

the Ladies' trebles tournament held
in 'Chesley last Wednesday.
Mrs. E, Harrison skipped one
rink, with Mrs. John Finnegan and
Mrs. Patterson. . The second rink,
Mrs. L. Elliott, Mrs. 0, Hasel-
grove and Mrs. J. IVIazIntyre, skip,
won second prize in the tourna-
ment.

Last Thursday ,night the local
intermediate team, defeated Port
Albert for their , second straight
shut-out in a 2-0 contest.
The Port Albert scinad was more
