Oil Wednesday night the Wing-
ham Spnocos took a comparatively
easy win from the -Goderich inter-
mediate softball team, by the score
of 16-0,
Godericlt was not playing up to
par, as they did hi their first en-
counter, and allowed Wingham
four runs in the first inning, two
in the second and five in the
fourth,- giving Wingham a good
practice session for the remainder
of the game.

GAINS REVENGE
Port Albert defeated the Belgrave
team 8-3 when they met in the
forMer place, with Port 'Albert's
battery being Chisholm, Black ana'
Petre. G. Coultes and K. Coultes
went all the way for Belgrave.
On Saturday night Belgrave
gained revenge by trimming Port
Albert 23-0. For Belgrave it was
23 runs on thirteen hits and no
errors. Port Albert only had two,
hits and were unfortunate in hav-
ing five errors.

WIN SECOND TYRO
TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
In May, a local rifle team won
the Western Ontario Rifle Shoot-
ing Competition, CA MD at Camp
Ipperwash and carried off the
Western Ontario Tyro Team
Championship in its first compe-
tition, The contestants were WO2
Lloyd Dawson, captain, and three
high school boys, Bdr. D. J. Mur-
ray, Gnr. Ted Wormworth and
Gnr. R. G. Jones.
On Saturday the team, repre-
senting the 99th Battery, won the
Command Tyro Championship at
Camp Borden, competing against
teams from the Whole Central
Command. WO2 L. E. Dawson
was the team captain and the
members of his group were Bdr.
0, 3. Murray, Gnrs. D. S. Ruda-
chyk, R. G. Jones and R. E. Worm-
worth.
The Open Team Championship
was won by the 100th Ely., Listowel
with team captain J. G. Kirk, Gnrs.
R. E. Harkness, D. W. Houston,
M. G. Kritzer and D. Parrish,

Toronto spent the week-end with
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Holt.
Mrs. Carroll Johnson and Miss
Marlene Johnson spent Friday in
Kitchener.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wilson attend-
ed the Dane reunion on Saturday
in Kurtzville community centre.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Williams of
Goderieh visited friends in Ford-
wick on Sunday and attended the
service. Sunday morning in Trin-
ity Anglican Church when Rev.
John L. Ball of the Church of the
Good Shepherd, Scranton, Pa., was
the special speaker. Rev. Ball was
a former minister here.

end visitors of Mrs. Nellie Gamble
and John.
Mr, John Ttidari of Toronto Spent
the Week-end with his wife and
