on Victoria Day was eight-year-
old Donald Adams, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Dewitt Adams, rut. 2, Gorr*
who .caught and (with a little' help
froth. Dad) landed a 1G-inch speckl-
ed beauty weighing one pound, el-
even ounces.
Asked where this fine trout was
taltea, Donald, (Sfaioting'Dad), said,
"Right where a river tops a great
big hall" NOW that's what We call
fishing!
This may sound like another
"fish atory", but there wag no
doubting the -evidence presented
when t o pitture was taken.

Mr. and ,Mrs. Reg. Watson and
son George, Brussels,. visited her
parents, Mr._ and Mrs. George Gal-
braith and attended the Sunday
School anniversary and flower ser-
vice.
Sunday visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Doug Statia were Mr. and
Mrs' Arnold Rolston, Leona and
Rickey of Flesherton. Mr. and
Mrs. Geo. Blake, of Hanover and
Mr. Duncan Moffat of Teesstrater.
Week-end visitors of Mr. and
Mrs. Geo. Gibson were Mr. and
Mrs. Lowell Burke and family of
Rochester, N.Y., who also called
on Mrs. W. E. Weir and Miss
Gertie Bush. Sunday visitors at
the Gibson home were Mr. and
Mrs,' Allister Green and family,

day Sehool anniversary. and flow-
er service was held In Wrosieter
United •Chureh. on Sunday with the
church beautifully' decorated with
evergre, as, fern and spring flow-
ers.
To the left of the entrance doors
was a lovely little flower garden:
to. the right a -basket of beautiful
spring blossoms and the stair raila,
were -trimmed in -greenery with a..
pot of pretty blooms on each step.
Canaries and budgies chirped
from their cages.. which hung alter-
nately with baskets of flowers from
the rails of the gallery.
. The back of the choir loft was
decorated with an "open Bible"
made of white lilacs, edged with
purple, a book-mark of purple lil-
acs and the theme, "Garden of
Prayer" written across the pages
in artificial pink roses.
The front of the choir loft was in
-Imitation field stone topped with
an eavestrougth holder filled with
greenery, lilacs and lily-of-the-val-
ley, In the front of the church
were small evergreen trees and the
choir entrances were built out in
porch fashion covered in greenery
and interspersed with tulips, • iris
and lilac -posies,
The senior choir members en-
tered the choir loft and the juniors
from the back of the church,
marched up .the - two aisles, each
carrying little- . nosegays, to the
processional hymn, "When Morn-
ing Gilds the Skies".
The call to worship was given
by Jim Sharpin, followed by the
hymn "Gentle Jesus" by the choir.
A recitation by Joe Moore and a.
choral number, "Thanksgiving"; a
recitation by Connie Gathers, fol-
lowed -by the Junior choir in "Holy
Spirit, Hear Us". The children
then took their seats, after giving
their flowers to their teachers who
Placed them -in containers at the
foot of the little flowing waterfall
in the midst of a lovely flower gar-
den in front of the pulpit. •
"Sweet Hour of Prayer" was ren-
dered by the senior choir, followed
by a violin solo by Miss Corrine
Rhame and the 'Sreipture lesson
was read by Garry Chambers, The
morning prayer and the Lord's
prayer were followed by the an-
them, "The Beautiful. Garden of
Prayer". The offertory was given
by Rickey Clarke. The theme ad-
dress was given by Mr. Alan Nee-
Ion, minister of the Bluevale Un-
ited Church, who very aptly illus-
trated his theme in an interesting
manner, easily understood by the
child ren.
The church was filled -to capacity
with a, number not able' to .get in,
Those who planned and carried out
the decorating are to be commend-
ed on the -beautiful display which
showed the many hours of work
that had been involved.

Service of the Wroxeter COLT with
the WMS was held in the church
school room on Tuesday evening..
The worship service, the theme of
which was "Think on These
Things", was conducted by the
WMS president, Mrs, K. Edgar, and
opened with music by Mrs, 0. L.
Dobson: at the piano, followed by
the call to. worship, and. prayer of
invocation.
The Scripture iesson was read
by Mrs. James Sanderson, who also

the reason for "affiliation", the -ser-
vice of re-affillatiou was conduct-
ed, with the MT president, Dawn
Lou Clark, presiding. Othera taking
part were Mrs. L. McGee, the
CGIT leader, Betty Adams, the
cGrr treashrer, who presented the
affiliation gift, which was accept-
ed on behalf of the VMS by the
president, Mrs. Edgar. Mrs. Edgar
in turn presented four MIT
members with their World Friend-
ship badges, and the Seal of Re-
affiliation to the group, which was
accepted by their president. The
four members of the cGrr who re-
ceived their insignia were Bonnie
Adams, Connie Gathers, Loidse
Edgar and Lynne Wright,
The guest speaker for the even'',
ing was Mrs. Howard ',Harris, of
Fordwich, who gave a very -timely
and worthwhile talk on the aids,

ing of a hymn and the benediction,
