They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. James McInnis. Gary Willis, Wayne Farrier and Garry Chapman were among the boys who attended the high school competitions held at Clinton on Saturday. Mr. Ross McGregor left last week for Toronto, where he start- ed to work at Bay St. Postal Ser- vice on Tuesday. We wish him success in his new venture. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hayes and Betty of BirMingham, Mich., vis- ited with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Em- erson on -Sunday and spent the week-end with Tiffin relatives in Kinloss. Whitechurch Bantams were vic- torious in a game here on Satur- day when they played with a team from Armow, winning 7-4. The midgets will play a game here this Thursday evening, competing with a team from Tiverton. Mr. Albert Coultes is pouring the cement for the foundation of Gar- net Farrier's house this week. The few good *days at the end of last week enabled many farmers in this district to wind up their seed- ing, but there are still many fields to be sowed and still others are only partially seeded.. Farms with heavy land are not dry enough to carry tractors yet. The teacher, Mrs. Bosman, and pupils of S.S. No. 7, East Wawa- nosh, and some of the mothers of the children. are going this Friday to London on a bus trip and will tour the Kellogg and Coca-Cola plants, Story Book Gardens and the fire hall. Mr. and Mrs. Mason Robinson and Elaine visited on Sunday with her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Albert Cameron of Lucknow. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Tiffin and family and her mother, Mrs. W. Stewart, Wingham, visited on Sun- day with Mr. and Mrs. Om Yoe at Southampton. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Payne of Detroit spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Kennedy of IVfarnoch.
