on Friday evening. Mentbers of
the A.Y.P.A. from Wingham, Au-
hurts, Br minis, Vordwich and
Gorrie were present.
The Rev. Neil Williams, rector of
St, George's Anglican Ghurch, was
the guest speaker, He was intro-
duced by Miss Marie Brown, Ford-
wich and thanked by Miss Yvonne
Pollard, llrussels. In Iris message
he challenged the young people to
be active loyal members of their
organization and the church. Au

stressed in his address that a

Was in 81st Year
GORRIE--Word has been receiv-
ed here by Albert Heibein of the
death of John Steele Jardine of
Tugaske, Sat*, on May 27th in
union Hospital, Moose Jaw. He
had suffered a severe stroke a
short time before his death, He
was in his Mat year.
Mr. Jardine was it former How-
h'it resident.
Survivors are his wife, the form-
er Annie Heibein.; one daughter,
Mrs. Lawrence (Alberta) Tederson,
Tiigaske; two brothers, William
Jardine, Wingham and Norman
Jardine, TUgasice; one sister, Miss
