The Scripture lesson was read by Mrs. Munro, with Mrs. MacLean giving the commentary, in which she cited as the best example of brotherliness "The Good Samari- tan", and during which questions and answers were presented. Prayer was offered by Mrs. Doig, followed by a few thoughts on the Lord's prayer. The hymn "There Is a Green Hill Far Away" was sung, Mrs. Munro presented the chapter from the study book "Africa Disturbed" entitled. "The Press". During the business period con- ducted by the president, Mrs. K Edgar, reports were given by Mrs. George Gibson, citizenship con- vener, who told of an article which had to do with World Refugee Year and was told as though a refugee were speaking. The supply secretary, Miss Elva Hupfer, reported the supply allo- cation bale, valued at $41.70, had been sent to Clinton and that the proceeds from the recent bake sale amounted to $49.20. Treasurer Mrs. S. Higgins reported that the offering for the Easter Thank- offering was not yet complete. The secretary, Mrs. Wylie, read a number of acknowledgements of cards sent, and several letters. It was decided to disregard a letter from CKNX requesting a donation for the religious programs, Story Time, etc., as this matter was be- ing handled by the congregation. A letter from the school for lead- ers was referred to the C.G.I.T. Plans for the re-affiliation of the C.G.I.T. was discussed, the service to be held in the near future. The June meeting is in charge of Mrs. G. Gibson and Miss Elva Hupfer. A hymn and the benediction, brought the meeting to a close after which a dainty lunch wan served by the hostess, assisted by Mrs. -Munro and Mrs. MacLean. Society Gives $100 To Refugee Fund WROXETER-Mrs. Doris Adams and Mrs. Fraser 'were in charge of the W.A. meeting last Tuesday, held at the home of Mrs. William Gathers. The opening hymn, "Make Me a Captive, Lord" was followed by Scripture read by Mrs. Adams. Mrs. Fraser gave the commentary. "Breathe on Me Breath of God" was sung by the members and Mrs. Adams offered prayer. There . were thirteen members and one visitor at the meeting, who responded to the roll call with a Verse:on faith, Miases.Mina Ball and Gertie Bush will be ln,charge of the June meeting, Donations of $25.00 to programs on- CKNX and $100 to the World Refugee Year Fund were passed.
