Brother Dies at
Banff, Alberta
Thomas Clifton Kelly, 72, died in
Banff on April 29th. Mr. Kelly
was born in Wingham.
He homesteaded in the Prince
Albert district in 1905 and moved to
Banff five years later. In 1914 he
Went to Swift Current and return-
ed to Banff in 1920. He was in the
clothing business there for many
year§ and was well-known in the
community. .
Mr. Kelly was a member of the
curling club there for a long time
and for a number of years was a
member of the Banff Advisory
Council. He was also Past Exalted
Ruler of the B.P.O.E., Banff.
He Was predeceased by his wife,
Mary, in 1956. He is Survived by
a daughter, Mrs. Charles Thom, a
son, Wallace, and four grandchild-
ren, of Banff and a brother, Wil-
liam, of Wingham,

THROUGHOUT LIFE
GORRIE—"Patience" was the
theme for the May meeting of St.
Stephen's W,A. at the home of
Mrs. Earl Underwood on. Thursday
afternoon. Mrs, Luella Sander-
son gave a talk saying that the
word patience is found a great,
many times in the Bible. We need
Patience in a great Many things
that we dal patience. in caring for
young children; patience with the
aged; patience to learn to ,do many
things. She also mentioned the
p'atienec missionaries have had to
learn Indian and other languages
and to translate the. Bible into
those languages.
Mrs, Gordon Underwood told of
the place of trained agriculturalists
in the Mission work tin Africa
where' farming is the basic in=
dustry and they' try to improve
livestock, soil deficiency and -anti-
quated methods of working,Hungry
and impoverished people are not
good listeners or good church build-
ers. Mrs. Norman Wade told of
the church's concern for health
and that medical mission work is
a most important part of the
church's program.
Rev. E. C. Attwell was in charge
of the meeting in the absence of
the president, Mrs. Edward New-
ton and led in the Litany and
prayers, Mrs. Mabel Gilkinson
read the lesson: Mr. Attwell told
of the recent Anglican Synod in
