Mrs, Ted rear Is a patient kn the
Wingharn General Hospital, suf-
fering from pneumonia,
Mrs. Orval Taylor was a patient
for a feW days in the Wingharn
General Hospital,
Mr, Ge'die Wheeler and Billy of
London were visitors on Sunday
with his parents, Mr, and Mrs.
Herb Wheeler.
Mr. and Mrs, Lloyd Taylor and
family of Sarnia visited on Sunday
with his parents, Mr. and. Mrs. Or-
val Taylor.
Mrs. Earl, Anderson is convener
for the March education meeting
of the BelgraVe Women's Insti-
tute to be held CM Tuesday, March,
22nd. The roll call will be ans-
wered by naming a favorite school
teacher and something remembered
about her. ,
Mr. Albert Bacon attended the
Hog Producers annual meeting
held Thursday and Friday at the
King Edward. Hotel in Toronto.
Mr. and Mrs, Albert Bacon, spent
the week-end with their daughter
and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ger.,
aid Augustine, at 'Burlington,
Mrs. C, G. McCrea has received
word of the death of her aunt, Mrs.
Laura Bowen, of Deseronto. The
funeral was held from St. Mark's
Church there on Saturday,
CGIT Meeting
Held Friday
BELGRAVE—The regular meet-
ing of the Canadian Girls in Train-
ing was held on Friday evening,
opening with the purpose and a
hymn. Linda Johnston and Wen-
dy Fear were in charge of the wor-
ship service. 'The Scripture les-
son was read from Acts. The girls
enjoyed the story, "A Good Neigh-
bour". The singing, of a hymn and
the benediction closed the worship
service. '
The girls continued their study
on Africa and played an African
game. The singing of Taps closed
the meeting.
Club 20 Meets
BELGRAVE— Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Vincent welcomed the
members of Club 29 to their home
on Thursday evening for a social
time and to play progressive
euchre. High prize whiners were
Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse and George
Johnston. Consolation prizes went
to Mrs. Albert Bieman and Robert
Grasby. Lunch was served.

ENTERTAINS SOCIETY
BELGRAVE- Mrs. finreirl Vin-
cent welcomed the members of the
Evening Auxiliary of the Woman's
Missionary Society of Knox United.
Church to her home on Tuesday
evening for the regular meeting.
The president, Mrs. Clifford Logan,
opened the meeting with a hymn,
followed by the minutes by Mrs.
Clarence Hanna.
Twenty-two members and two
visitors answered the roll call. The
penny collection was received and
there were four home and five hos-
pital visits to the sick and. Shut-
ins recorded,
The group accepted an invitation
to meet with the Brussels group on
April Rh, when Dr. A. Nimmo will
be the guest speaker and show
slides of his trip to Formosa.
Members were reminded of the
special service the Afternoon Aux-
iliary is holding in the church on
April 4th. Everyone was urged 'to
attend the Huron Presbyterial
meeting in Seaforth United Church
on March 24th. The Easter Thank-
offering ,meeting will be held on
April 12th, with Mrs, O. Struthers
of 'Mitchell as guest speaker.
Mrs. James Coultas gave the
treasurer's report and the offering
was received and dedicated. Mrs,
John Nixon and her group were in
charge of the worship service, op-
ening with a hymn and the Lord's
prayer in unison. Mrs. Bill Coultes
read the Scripture 'lesson and Mrs.
James Coultes led in prayer.
Mrs. Nixon was in charge of the
study on Northern 'Rhodesia, ex-
plaining about the copper belt, the
farming and other things of in-
terest. Mrs. Sam Pletch told about
an African church. Mrs. NWon
read about the origin of St. Pkit-
rick.
The meeting closed with a hymn
and prayer, Mrs. George Johnston
led in recreation. A bake sale was
held with Mrs. Lewis Cook as 'the
auctioneer and proceeds amounted
to $14.00. Lunch was 'served.
Award Diploma
To Anson Ruttan
Anson Ruttan of Fordwich was
awarded a diploma for successfully
completing the course in Poultry
Health and Nutrition offered by
Whitmoyer Laboratories Inc., My-
erstown, Pa. He had returned
from. Myerstown where he attend-
ed the course. •
This clinic was the final phase
in an intensive course of study on
poultry health control. Prior to
attending the clinic he had receiv-
ed preliminary instructions through
home study lessons,
Mr .Ruttan is associated with
the Fordwich Feed Mill.

FORDWICH—The March meet-
ing of the W.A. of Trinity Angli-
can Church was held at the home
of Mrs. Nina Armstrong. In the
absence of the president, the first
vice, Mrs. Emmerson Ferguson,
presided.
Mrs. Roy 'Simmons read the
Scripture lesson. Roll call was
answered by 13 members and two
visitors with a verse from Isaiah,
Mrs. E. Hargrave reported that the
