life of Winghana. John McKibbon, who operates a pharmacy" two
doors to the south of the new establishment, has stocked the 'eno-
vated premises with a wide variety of lines, In both the book, and
stationery fields.
The new business will be managed by Miss Margaret Ma4ean,
Who Is well known, in Wingham, having been associateefor a number
of years with the MacLean. Coal Company.
The building itself housed the Lee 'Restaurant for many years,
and more recently the Niagara Cyclo [Massage business. !Before ,bring,.
ing in his new stock the owner renovated the store and has made a fine
job of converting the building Into, a modern place of business,
The store is divided into two
rooms. The front will house the
stock books, gifts and office sup-
plies, while the room at the rear
will contain the• display of office
machines.
Firm Widely Known.

(Canada), a firm of book distribu-
tors of world-wide reputation. At
the present the book department is
stocked with a wide selection of
reading matter and should meet
the needs of almost everyone in
the community.
A display of cards, at the front
of the new store provides One of
the best selections possible, Vise
line is supplied by Coutts Hall-
mark, for which the new store is
also an agent.
Excellent Gifts
Qne section of the business will
be devoted to a gift line, which
will include a selection of Swedish
glass, and ornaments from Europe
and the Far East. Another fine
line will be a Collection of English
china ' figurines. Near the gift
counter is a display of artificial
flowers, in both paper and plastic.
A line of high quality and smartly
designed reading lamps will be
added to the stock at a later date,
In the office supply departrhent
will be a stock of business forms,
manufactured by a Toronto. firm,
as well as the usual run dawn of
pencils, files, staplers and the
many small items that are used in
every office today. These will be
complem_enteci by a stock of type•
writers and adding machines.
Work on the renovation of the
hew store was done by local con-
tractors, who did a splendid piece
of work in bringing the• establish-
ment up to modern Standards. The
rooms are well lighted, with the
stock displayed for self-service,
and departmentalized so that any
line will 'be easy to locate.
The official opening planned for
this Thursday morning should see
a good turnout of interested citi-
zens. Mr. McKibbon has issued an
inVitation to everyone' to visit the
new business,
