"basically shy," but the air play that both
sides of the single received was rewarding.
Recently she found a distributor, J.C.
Enterprises of Toronto, that will distribute
her album to record stores around Ontario.
To promote the album, the Tee Keys
held a concert at the Stratford Legion in
early November when the album was
released. As further promotion, Gloria
hopes to appear on as many country TV
shows in the area as possible during the
next year. She has done a few shows in the
past and is confident she can do more, now
that her album has been released. One of
the programs she has done before and will
probably do again is Good Time Country on
CKNX TV, Wingham.
Gloria would like to record again and to
pursue a career as a professional singer.
She has no illusions about the hard work
involved.
"Music is a competitive business." she
says. "You just have to keep plugging
away until someone takes an interest in
you. There's only so much you can do on
your own."
"But that's the negative part," she
continues. "The positive part is that 1 set a
goal for myself - to make a recording by the
time I was 23. I did that, and I feel really
good about it. Every time someone buys
one of my records it's a bonus". I Like
Country became a reality because Gloria
Hart enjoys composing and singing and
wants to share her music with others.
