Sessions begin in mid-September and cost $55.00 for a ten week course which also includes membership in the Guild and use of studio facilities for a full year. Classes for children are also provided at $25.00 for ten weeks of instruction. For those who begin their Christmas lists early, some craft lessons at the Curiosity Shoppe in Milverton could solve your shopping problems. Courses will be given in macrame, rug hooking, crochet and cake decorating. Several one evening sessions will be offered in making holiday fans. brooms and wreaths from straw and dried flowers. Rundles Restaurant provides a truly unique opportunity to benefit from the experience of their excellent chef, John Walker, and knowledgeable partners, James Morris and William Munnelly, in a variety of courses on cooking, entertaining and wine tasting. Chef Walker offers classes in Cooking for All. which can be taken either as a demonstration course in conjunction with Conestoga College, or as a full participation programme for a higher fee, which includes a full dinner prepared and eaten by students at each class. Menu planning and effective presentation of foods are stressed, as well as preparation techniques from the professional vantage point of a highly experienced chef. The course consists of six weekly sessions of practice and demonstration, beginning November fifth. Special weekend seminars will be held at Rundles from mid-Novemberto mid- December which focus on cooking for Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays. The weekends include meals, cookery demonstrations and practice, accommoda- tion and a trip to the Kitchener Farmer's Market to buy produce. An optional pastry class will be held for those interested in making Christmas cakes, puddings and mincemeat to take home. Spouses or friends may accompany a class member without taking part in the cooking classes. Rundles offers a six week course on Formal Dinner Parties, with advice on carving, table design and other aspects of host/hostessing. William Munnelly teach- es classes in wine tasting, which explore ,nany excellent but little known varieties. information on the backgrounds of the wines, how they should be treated and what foods each should accompany will be included. This course and the one on Formal Dinner Parties are offered at Stratford, and also in Kitchener -Waterloo through Conestoga College, and in London through Fanshawe.
